Very true, it's no secret that your metabolism slows down with age. And, our activity levels usually decrease with age as well.

I live by this, enriched products - bread, pasta, etc. is also artery clogging. Each and every one of us is different, and how our bodies process is different. But, given my family's heart problem history - I avoid a lot of things that I used to "indulge" in.

I always thought if you eat smaller portions (no sugar) and exercise you would lose the weight.When ever I went to a restaurant , I would only eat half of what they gave me and took the rest home for another meal. I did this a few years ago and lost over 50lbs.
