Thanks Flash, it took me 50 years and a heart attack to fiqure out and I truly do think about that saying every time I start getting pissed at someone.

I have to say that I have missed Garys humor around here lately. So don't disappear like that again ! Cause I said so !! :)

After reading this I have to totally agree with your statement. I thought about all the things I have seen and in the past year at car shows and on the web. It is hard watching the "good ole boys" running the shows and the same people being recognized, and some people being shunned. I have been to shows where some beautiful cars being looked over because the "good ole boys" are not accepting of change. We all know the expense of owning one, or for some of you, many, classics. And because of this, most of the owners are getting older. Take me, I have owned my Malibu for almost 15 years, and it took me over 10 years of owning it before I was really able to start and do some major work to my car. So as we get older we are more able to afford these classics.

So why is is hard for so many to accept new ideas and change ? I know that there are many cars out there that are all original, but they are getting fewer and fewer as the parts break and people want a bigger motor, a better transmission, a bigger rear end, or just even to upgrade the radio.

We are never going to be able to change the mind of those who don't want to see or accept anything other than an all original car. What we have strived to do here is to appreciate everyone's opinion. And most of all, appreciate that we all have a passion for our cars, no matter what it is.

Sorry for my rant... Gary, I really do miss ya.
