Thanks for the comments fellas. I have a lot of fun customizing what ever I can get my hands on. The most fun comes in that I do these projects with my son.

Here he is at 9 years old welding the cap on after we cut the roof section off the Bug. He did a lot of welding on this project.

Still looking for interior so that I can change that all out and drive this project while I work on it. I was hoping to get white or light tan (fawn) colored. It doesn't seem there are many color options in the kit format. May have to do a local search for an upholstery shop that won't break the bank.
