I agree with you Alan. Yeah, I drive a Chevy, but I appreciate a beautiful car. No matter what it is.

Everyone should own at least one Ford and what a Badass one to own.

Thought I'd share the newest addition to the owner of the Orange GT above's fleet.

He just picked up this one owner, locally owned, 1967 GT500 last night. This car has every single piece of imaginable documentation that could possible go with the car to include all the original purchase literature, bills of sale, transfer docs from Shelby to the local GA dealership as well as things like maintenance receipts, the very first tag receipt, etc.

The gentleman who bought the car new passed away a few years ago and the wife only wanted the new owner to have the right to buy it. This weekend the plan is to change the rusted out fuel tank, prime it and see if it will run. He said he only intends to get it road worth enough so that he can drive it and will leave everything else alone. Once word got out that he had it in his possession, there was someone trying to get him to leave it 100% as it was pulled out of the garage and take it to Barrett Jackson but he refused. He has been trying to get the car for many years and now that he finally owns it he doesn't plan on selling. I couldn't imagine how much a car this well documented would bring but it was definitely cool seeing it delivered to his shop!

Awesome 'Stang Eric!!

When my son was born ('73) and I was working at the Chevy-Tonawanda engine plant, my daily driver was a '68 500KR...also equipped with those two Holleys.
Always liked how the factory shoulder harness was attached to the factory roll bar. The upper side scoops are functional too...vents open with a slider knob on the inside.
Does this one have the tilt away steering column...snaps to the 1:30 position every time the driver's door is opened.
Car ran mid 11's @118 mph.
Header install is the WORST job ever on that car.

I don't think this one has the snap away column, otherwise I would have noticed when I was prodding around inside. The harnesses are pretty cool, along with all the functional vents.

The headers are no joke, the worst thing I have ever seen! From my understanding, there are 4 bolts around each pipe and absolutely NO room to get to 90% of them!! We were actually joking about that yesterday when we were looking the car over!

Changing plugs on that bad boy ain't no party either.
Worse years ago with the best ignition was only a dual point distributor and plug changes occurred often.
Good news though...that Top Loader trans and the 9 in rear are damn near bullet proof!! Ford used "N" castings on rear's chunk, IIRC.
