Compared to most of you guys, I'm on the conservative side.
Bought my first one in 1987 1970 SS L-34 396 4 spd. Sold it in 1996 to pay for a drive and retaining wall at our new house. Bought the second one in 1998 1970 SS L-34 396 4 spd. Convertible. Sold it in 2001 to help pay for part of my new truck. I bought my third Chevelle with the rest of the money from Chevelle #2. 1970 Chevelle SS LS-6 454 auto basket case. Finished in 2003, sold in Dec. 2004. Bought my fourth 1970 SS L-34 396 auto on my birthday in 2005. Sold it in March 2013. End of story..........;) |
In 1972 bought a 1964 Chevelle with a 283 4 speed with powerpack option (tach, dual ext) and it was not a SS. Sold it 73 to buy a 64 GTO from Ky.
In 1980 bought a 1978 El Camino for a second car to drive in the winter instead of Corvette...traded it for a full size truck with 35's for 4 wheel fun In 1984 bought a 1973 SS El Camino from Alabama after I sold my Corvette to buy a house. In 2000 bought my 1969 Chevelle SS that I still have today and no plans on getting rid of it as my son wants it. I was more of a Camaro / Corvette guy than a Chevelle guy but I love them all. My dream car is a 1970 Pontiac Trans Am white with blue stripe. |

I almost forgot. I had a '69 El Camino SS in there somewhere too. The body was rotted really bad. I sold the 12 bolt rear to a guy, and the 350 and TH400 went into my drag car. (after a bit of tweaking)

The one an only 69 ss in my garage now.
