I don't mind helping out someone, but these days it is more trouble than it's worth. Not to mention, I always have to pull out my wallet when I need something.

I needed something recently, and the guy whips out a catalog and quotes me new prices on used parts. I walked away laughing and told him that I'll be sure to remember that the next time he wants something from me. His expression was priceless.

I have an NOS Chevy truck hubcap a guy in Kentucky wanted to buy from me and I priced it at $100 and he was willing to pay that if I included shipping .I told him I did not have time to get it boxed up and get a shipping quote but that I was going through Kentucky to Ohio and would deliver it ,meeting him along the way ,he was not interested in that so I told him I would just keep it as wall art .I thought personal delivery was a great offer ,oh well.

What is the least you'll take? Double the price on the spot and tell them. Now we can haggle to what I ask for in the first place.

I'll go out on a limb here and say that the active members here are part of a small group of people who are willing to do right by others. Bill, Eric, and Ray have helped me immensely already. I am eternally grateful to them.
