Thank you. 141001074 is cast into the Manifold.
Motor is still assembled care to quote a cost/value to this motor?

Aluminum intake or not can't imagine 305 carrying much value?

No estimate on value from me. You really need to find out a little more. The aluminum Winter's intake is interesting. I would guess a Camaro or Corvette but I really don't know. Pictures might help, is the VIN and engine code still visible?

One more question and I think I will be done, but first, yes the blue blocks were Chevy! I spent hours putting the video of the motors, heads, exhaust manifolds, headers and boxes and boxes of stuff on You Tube only to find out at the end that they only allow TEN minute videos to be put up! Mine was 12! I will do it again, but first;

CAN I ASK ANOTHER OPINION, I have what I thought was a totally early 70's 454 smog motor. In fact a guy called me from IRAQ and wanted to know if I had sold it yet. Having a soft spot for veterans I told him No, (I was going to put this one back into the original owners '84 Chevy truck), he asked me if I would take $500.00 for it and the tranny? Told him yes, motor and tranny was his, stop in when you get home!

Anyway, since I had been so wrong on some of these motors I though I would run the numbers just to be sure! The darn thing is a 402! A 396 bored by the factory.030's.

Some one tell me is this is good or bad or indifferent type motor. ???? I WILL tell the soldier - whatever - when I talk to him again.

Thanks fellas

I have dug many a hole for a 305.You got your work cut out for you.Not sure if I can believe the money going to the widow story.And I know Im not the only one thinking it.You cant put a price on this stuff because its only worth what people are willing to pay for it.Looks like your using your head getting the books and getting a handle on what you have.Best thing to do is start checking ads to see what you should be asking for some of this stuff.Go to swap meets and take notes.If you have for example an aluminum 427 yanko block you would have something very special.Lets look at 1965.The first year chevy produced the 396.Something like that would worth big money for a Z16 restoration.But if you have no interasted buyers its gonna sit for a long time.
