The interior is done. Turned out real nice. Lot more work than I thought it was going to be.

They always are more work then we expect.

Took the new junker to the Sloan show today. They gave me an award for being in the top 75 cars out of over 700. I was in the top 5 for the modified class.

Thanks! I sure didn't intend to build a show car, but I guess it does look pretty good. I keep telling everyone that I'm just a goon putting junk together in a garage.

I talked to Tony today, there's a little he didn't tell you. He didn't take his car to be judged and didn't really know what they look at while judging a car. Tony did get to see the judge's scores for his car, 99 out of 100! They knocked off 1 point because the tires were dirty. Dah! He drove it there, of course they're dirty.

Apparently it all's Kathy's fault for not cleaning the tires after they got there. Tony, I think you need to take her inside and give her a good spanking tonight. Please don't tell her I said that, don't want her kickin my butt.

Hank..did you get the stud in head to work?

Uh oh!

I ran a tap in until it bottomed out then ran a 3" bolt in, looks like it might work. I'll use a torque wrench and see if I can get 30-35 foot lbs on it. There was also a broken stud at the front of the manifold. I welded a nut on it to back it out. Have to clean up the head surface and still waiting on the replacement manifold to arrive. Thanks for the advice, appreciate it.
