Okay, it's been a while since I've done an update.
I have the rear axle back on now and I just need to move over to the four post lift so I can torque the control arms down. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/29/9ehegahy.jpg The front suspension is pretty much done also. I had an issue with the lower shock mounts stripping out so I used the clips to fix that. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/29/7aqyjema.jpg My wiring is started. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/29/y4apuhaj.jpg And my master cylinder is mounted but the brakelines are driving me nuts. I bought the right stuff detailing and they are not labeled where they go so it's a puzzle. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/29/zymumuma.jpg As soon as I get these things buttoned down then it's going on the road for the season before I do anything else. I want to enjoy driving it for a while. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk |
A nice side profile.
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/29/a9aryses.jpg Weekends are busy with cruise ins and car show with my dad. The last one we took the 2011 Z07 and the 1934 Ford. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/29/zeduje4e.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/29/8udepapa.jpg Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk |
You are making progress. Be sure to torque the control arms with the weight of the car on them and not while it's in the air.
|
I had a guy tell me that it needs to be on its own weight. Glad we have a four post lift so I can stand underneath to tighten things down. I would not have ever thought about that. Thanks

Yes it does, some you have to crimp but the dash harness is pretty much all done. Very easy to do so far, I am impressed! I love the Pocono area, we vacation up that way sometimes. Jim Thorpe is a little dream town too, good biking, beer, food and shopping.

Ya'll have some very nice toys .
|
I was going to say the same thing flash...minus the y'all..lol
|
very nice!
|
Thank you, they are definitely all fun. Chevy/GM runs deep with us. The one Ford was an order from his wife, her brother restored it and she wanted to keep it in the family when he passed. Its an awesome truck though and people request him to bring it places.

Everyone should own at least one Ford and I would gladly take that one .

Not long now and you will be driving it.

I can't wait!

That things coming along nicely! You'll be driving it before you know it. How did the wiring harness work out for ya? Would you use it again?
|
I would recommend it 110%, it was pretty straightforward. I did have help from a friend with a lot of experience but but it was still pretty simple. I used the American autowire. The upgrades that they include in the hardness makes me want to start upgrading things just to use it fully.

I'm going to be driving it for a while. I need to figure out what I'm doing with the motor and get front fenders for it. I just want to have some fun.
The brakes are done and they seem to be working great. It was a pain bleeding a all new system though. I have a small issue with the wiring to fix. The turn signals work great until I turn the parking lights on so I think a have something crossed. Almost done!!! Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk |
You gonna keep the stripes off it.............looks great like this.
|
Not sure about paint yet either. My wife wants ralley stripes but I may keep it all black. Ghost flames, flat black ralley stripes or red ones. 😕
