That's pretty close to my place. Feel free to swing by and have a look. I can send you my brothers phone number and he can meet you there. Yes, dreams. I'm 59 years old. I started saving money for this move when I was 24 years old. Been a long road, but I'll get there.

Thanks Ray. I hope the shop is big enough!

Hank70SS 02-14-2014 07:02 PM

Wish you were down here Tony, we're in Ocala right now. We'll be at our destination tomorrow. I'm tired, driving this motorhome is a lot of work. We had good weather and no real construction problems.

Place is looking great Tony. I knew you'd do it right but I'm really impressed.

FlintTony 02-15-2014 04:21 AM

Hank,I sent you Dougs number. If you have time, give him a call and shoot out there.

Glad you had good road conditions. Makes the trip a little easier.

Hank70SS 02-16-2014 07:37 PM

How did you send it, Pony Express? No email, no PM, no text and no voice mail. That's okay, we're now close to Homestead, 78 today. Enjoyed a cold Yuengling sitting in the sun. Couldn't see snow anywhere, that was nice.

Remember the burgers we had at Frankenmuth? I burnt the grease and cheese from them off the grill today. Grilled burger, umm, tasty, been a long time.

Greasy burgers sound so good.

Ms Grumpy 02-16-2014 07:57 PM

Tony it looks really nice. I am sure that many of us are jealous. I know that I am. Congratulations.

flash 02-16-2014 10:04 PM

When he gets it finished we could all go down there and become squatters .

FlintTony 02-17-2014 05:12 AM

Hank, I sent you a reply to a PM with his number.

Ric, that is what I was thinking for your room. Not quite that small though.

Thanks Nancy.

John, come on down and we'll have a party. If Hank can keep the grill clean, he can cook for us.

Hank70SS 02-17-2014 09:17 AM

Tony, you sent me a PM back in the beginning of Jan with 2 numbers. I think one is yours, don't remember. Maybe the other is Doug's.

The grill is self cleaning, turn it on high for a few minutes and it's ready to go, all clean and sterilized.

FlintTony 02-25-2014 06:02 PM

The big garage is all framed, sided, doors and widows in. Waiting on the overhead door guys now. They are working on the exterior walls of the house now. They have most of the windows set and the door frames framed in.

Jealous doesn't even come close for me. I've wanted a shop for so long. What I could do with something like that.

FlintTony 02-26-2014 04:38 AM

Thanks all. Here are some shots of the house and attached garage. They are supposed to be done in about 2 more weeks. Then I'll head back down to start building interior walls, ceilings, and get the rest of the plumbing done.

To heck with a house, I would live in that garage! Looks great Tony.

FlintTony 02-26-2014 05:55 PM

I figure that I will spend more time in the garage than anywhere else, like I do here. Things might get slowed down a bit. Had a stress test yesterday. Sawbones called today, I have to be in the hospital Friday morning. "Unusual blockage" is what they said. Going to do a heart cath and see wtf is wrong.

Sorry to hear that Tony.....been there and done that as you know. I go in for a stress test on Tuesday and I'm expecting the same thing for me. Maybe we can be room mates.

Well, by God, if we do get to be roomies, you get the whiskey smuggled in and I'll get some smokin material. We'll whoop it up like we are in Frankenmuth!

Good luck with the test.

Thanks I don't plan on staying...I'm eating good starting yesterday and doing my 15 mins of exercise a day...I hope that works.

shadowgray396 02-26-2014 09:55 PM

Hope all works out for everyone. I had to do a stress test a few months ago myself and luckly passed with flying colors.

FlintTony 03-01-2014 02:25 PM

I'm back home from the hospital. They had to put another stent in. The one they put in 6 years ago is still clean. The new one is on the other side of my heart. Doc says my viens are like a garden hose that is 30 years old. Just plain wore out, I guess. Pretty sore and tired. I have a couple more picture that I'll post of the house later. Going to get me one of those old people naps now. See ya later.

Glad you are doing good. Get some rest and hope you are back to feeling like your ole self soon.

carpoor 03-01-2014 05:48 PM

Get well soon Tony! My dad had stints done in 98'. He had a triple bypass in 04' - stints were clogged. And a heart transplant in 07'. He will be 64 this July. Got to take care of yourself and not push too hard.

flash 03-01-2014 07:39 PM

Tony ,glad to hear you are back home and mending ,rest up and take care .

RBeckman 03-01-2014 08:50 PM

Glad you are home and it was not that bad. I'm sure Kathy has you on more health diet again. I'm a little nervous as I have my 6 month cardiologist appointment on Tuesday with a new Doctor as mine retired first of the year.

Anytime you want to meet for a salad and carrot juice let me know.

FlintTony 03-02-2014 05:41 AM

Thanks everyone. It figures, we got another 5" of snow last night. I'm not going to get on the tractor to plow. Not supposed to drive for a few days. I pushed my way out to the shop, one shovel at a time. Took a while, but I made it and wasn't out of breath. That felt pretty good. Dan, the guy across the street is going to try and use my tractor today. I plow his driveway in trade for haircuts from his wife. Now I'm thinking he will see it isn't all that easy to plow this shit.
Ric, we can meet for some whiskey and Starlite cheeseburgers!

Hank70SS 03-02-2014 08:00 AM

Glad things weren't too bad Tony, take care of yourself. Ric, good luck hope they find everything is in good shape. You guys gotta stay healthy so we can cook up some greasy burgers at Frankenmuth.
