chevymaher, yes the prices are nuts. I check craigs and e bay, and what some folks want for a piece of junk is crazy, 12k for a rust bucket with 60% of the parts missing on the car. but I do see the same car readvertised as some get 0 bids on ebay.

I've been away for quite sometime and I attribute that to exactly what this thread is about. I would check in every now and then and it really seemed dead with some threads being so old with no replies. Probably too when your working on your car there's more to talk about or questions to ask and once you get it done you shy away from participating. I have to admit I'm on the other Chevelle Website and find a lot of people ask questions about their cars and I try to help them if I can. Bowtie smiley

This site is more like a family than the other one but I still visit both frequently .I play with Chevy trucks more than my Chevelle and El Camino now .
The “other” site just went through a major downgrade so I’m going to migrate to this site. Hopefully others will follow.
It did take a major hit didn't it. I talked to Dean he isn't happy about it.
I haven't been over there for years. What happened to it now? I thought that Dean was done a while back from that site.
He is there still. He answered a PM from me. They got new forum software and it sux.
Yeah, the whole site changed. It’s really bad. I tried to stick with it but threw in the towel. It’s REALLY bad.
That is how i felt about the change a few years back too.
LOL I just went there. Saw the new site and said naw. Just clicked the tab off. Isnt worth foolin with.
I haven't been over there in years either. Changes with new owners and a lot of nasty guys.

I’ve never had Facebook so I don’t know about that. The conversations always go off the rails when you introduce politics into the conversations.
I do believe that they have better forum categories than this site. Much better differentiation. It makes it much easier to find and participate in topics that are of interest to you. |
It is a much larger site and there is a lot of good info there. You can find most anything you want to know using search. Many of us here started on that site. But I couldn't take the attitude of many of the people there anymore. You either agreed with them or you're an idiot. I don't know everything and I'm open to other opinions. Even if I don't agree I'm not going to call someone out on it. I'll express my opinion and leave it at that.
Not sure why but some people lose all sense of decency when they're on a keyboard. If they treated people the same way in person I suspect they'd get a few teeth knocked out. |
Well put Hank. Especially the "teeth" part.
I agree Hank. Plus, I just realized there is no “like” button on this site. Or did I miss it?

Just my 2 cents worth...
A like button lets someone chime in without actually writing. Maybe they liked the content but had nothing to add. Plus, it subscribes the person to the thread which alerts them via email when a new reply is added. This can tickle someone to go back to the post and maybe spend time on the site. |
I am on a boat forum with a like button. It is the neatest thing since white bread. I agree stay here this is the most activity i seen on this site since the boss left.
Well you have to talk to the boss if you want a 'like' button. Good luck with that.
I'm new here and hope the experience exceeds that other site.
After eight years I got tired of the hostility. |
Welcome, hope you hang with us. As you can see by previous replies, the hostility is why some of us dumped the other site. Also why one member that came over was banned from here. We don't have to agree but we can be civil.
Who’s the boss I need to talk to?

Next line of stupidity is how much it would cost them to make it original so when they sell it they can make top dollar. It all revolves around intimidation and making you work for them for free. They pay for half the cost of the parts you used and get your labor free is their scam. And on a positive note good to see this site having traffic. |
