Left early, got the car home around 12:30 - we were pooped, didn't unload it yet. (I actually went home and took a three hour nap with my dog) I'll go over there after work tomorrow and get it unloaded. Going to try to go through some of the spare parts too. It will be nice to clean out the garage and shed.

Club and guest turnout was way way down today. We had only 40 cars come out for the show today. I was so disappointed today. Alot of hard work went into this show by all. I hope this is not Chevellabration all over again. If we can't get the people to come out and support the show then this might have been our last show.

Perfect weather for a show, not to hot today

I dont understand the low turn out as it looked to be very nice out there ,wish we could do it again .That was the best trip ever for us .

Slowly but surely acquiring more useful tools!

This was a good buy, I think! Now I can make/crimp my own A/C lines.

Got the car mostly back together yesterday. Pulled a vacuum on the A/C system for a little over 2 hours to remove any moisture and it held vacuum so all seems to be good and ready to be charged! Now if only I had my damn wheels (today marks 4 weeks since I ordered...I'm impatient.)

Not the cleanest install but I guess not horrible either. I plan to replace the inner fenders soon but for now the old, somewhat abused tins went back in. I'll secure the heater hoses once I find the right clamp.

I got the Classic Auto Air all wired and programmed yesterday. Just need to do some under-dash wiring clean up (a.k.a. zip ties) and it will be ready to ride again.

That looks pretty sharp. Did you have any issues with the install? I'm going to do an aftermarket ac in my car and I'm trying to figure out what the better company/system is.

No real issues to speak of. I have Vintage Air in my 71 Stingray and now Classic Auto Air in the Chevelle. I opted for CAA in the Chevelle for a few reasons, all related to fitment of the evaporator behind the dash. With Vintage you have to cut the back of the glovebox along with the center vent but with Classic nothing gets cut and the box fits on the firewall without any modifications (with the exception of a few holes that must be drilled.) I believe with Vintage you can actually hide all of your hoses in the original blower motor location to really clean up the firewall but this is not possible with CAA. You can put 90s on the end and route them to the inner fender, as I did with my A/C but you'll still see the ends. The heater hoses are just too far inboard for that to look good, in my opinion.

I haven't actually tested the CAA functionality yet so I can't comment on actual cooling ability but I do know that the air coming from the vents is already stronger than it was before. Disclaimer - I found a broken clip on the factory air direction door so I was not getting full functionality from the factory selector.

If the CAA kit works anything like it does in the Vette, I'll be quite pleased.
