Car already is already missing the rear end. I don't have a sway bar either. But who knows what all I getting. If there one there extra you called shotgun.

It is a 68. It is a original no motor or tranny rear end body. Unmolested. I getting air conditioner vents. Part in the dash. Parts outside you see I am getting new. Just the stuff they don't sell. I going to get a bunch of knick knack stuff mine was pirated of over the years. Never store a car in a garage that is shared, a lesson learned. I never took it. What did it grow wings and fly away?
All I know is it don't happen if your the only one with access to the parts.

I calling the guy today. Guy who has the trailer is deer hunting at the moment.

I will have extra air parts and inner fenders before this this is hauled off.
I bought what was supposed to be a complete air set up before for almost what i paying for this car. It was missing alot of the little stuff. I got the box and the controls basically. I figured I do better if i just got the car and took the stuff off myself.

After this It isn't anything I won't be buying new. I got everything else, in triplicate in most cases. But it is in good shape old as dirt. Should be the last great snipe hunt finding rare it isn't made new parts.

Oh what we go through for these old beast. And a clone with year mixed parts at that.

To continue the saga...

Installed a Wilwood front disc kit (replaced original drum brakes), new master cylinder, and a new windshield today.
Only issue was when bleeding the brakes, one new braided hose blew out of the banjo fitting :(
Replaced both lines that were supplied with the kit with new O'Reillys rubber ones. Guess it was better failing now than somewhere down the road.

Very pleased with the windshield!! Was able to buy an actual LOF glass, tinted, shaded, with antenna!!

Next on the list is replacing all hoses and belts. Also the fan clutch...
Probably tomorrow.
Next week will tackle recovering the buckets.

Want to drive this Sprint in two weeks up to the NC Chevelle show held @ Hendrick's Motorsports in Concord (Charlotte).

I am busy snapping off bumper bracket bolt. So I can clean and paint them. It seems strange doing something besides bodywork.

New plugs, wires, and coil so far have not remedied the issue. Was waiting to hear the results of compression and leakdown tests.
Still waiting........:(

What a crazy couple of weeks.... Got back from a 34 hour flight from the Maldives on our Honeymoon Friday, was home for no more than 30 minutes and then proceeded to immediate leave the house (and wife) to head over to the shop to get my car aligned before leaving a few hours later to go to Heaven's Landing for a 1/2 mile drag race.

I know the "ghetto" wheels probably won't appeal to some, or most, but they are growing on me. Regardless, the car drives SOOOOO much better now with a 275 tire on the front instead of the skinny drag wheels!

Some quick iPhone photos

And a little video of the event. Made 3 passes with the car and was within 2 mph each pass with very consistent 140 mph speeds.

Ghetto? They're not 20" or bigger, and they're not "dubs." I like the look, but also liked the drag set up.

True, they do look really big. I think it is the smooth lip, which I really like by the way and part of the reason why I spent so much on this particular wheel, but it makes the centers look much larger. I had a number of car friends see them and ask if they were 20" wheels.

I might get the centers painted a slight shade darker because in bright light the cast aluminum almost looks white, which I don't like.

I think the wheels look great and the video was pretty cool. Congrats on the wedding from Joan and I .
