I know it kind of kiddy like. Buddy came over to use the weight machine. I just sat in the chevelle while he worked out and shot the bull.

Van engine is a disaster. Cracked head. Hydraulic ed a cylinder. Cracked the piston ring. Sent ring shrapnel through the engine. Oil pump picked it up. Got a piece on a rod journal. Anti-freeze in the engine. It is a Greek Tragedy.

She sounded perfect last time I fired her up before I tore her down. I miss my van already.

I looking at a mercruiser crate engine for it. I should hear back tomorrow.

The pictures in this post are from about two weeks ago. I did some more work on it yesterday. I only work on it on weekends because the car is at a friends place which is about 20 mins. away. Now the air conditioning plenum is out and two thirds of the firewall has been ground down and sanded as well both inner fenders are out and the wiper motor is out. Next it's on to the drivers side remove the brake booster and get that side of the firewall ready for paint.

Did I mention this is going in to replace the worn out 350.

Complete rebuild, 350 HP 350 Corvette Engine.
4 Bolt Main Block, tanked and honed.
Crank is 10/10, polished.
New Cam Bearings and Freeze plugs.
All new Bearings.
New Flat Top Pistons and Rings.
New 3 Pc Timing set.
New Oil Pan and Timing Cover.
New 350 HP 447-447 Cam and Lifters.
refurbished 882 76 CC Heads, mild porting.
1.94 and 1.5 valves, new positive seals.
New hardened tip push rods.
New rockers.
New Weiand Aluminum Intake.
Vintage Aluminum Bow Tie Valve Covers

Been trying to work up the ambition to do an engine swap on my Sprint. New motor is ready to drop in and hanging on the stand.

He is my little quality control inspector. He gets his little flashlight and shines it. UMM HUM UMM HUM looks pretty good. If he sees something wrong he says your gonna have to fix that.

He definately old enough he getting interested.

I told him on his birthday. Wow that a nice car I want that one. He said Aw dad but you already got the chevelle.

So his little mind knows it is my toy.

I went out to the shop today and cranked the Malibu vert ,the El Camino and the 72 Chevy truck and let them run while I got some firewood up .
