Yesterday, I got new one wire 100 amp alternator put on the car along with new fuel pump which I'm still having trouble getting it to pump correctly. I've tried venting the tank and I know there is at least 5 gallons of fuel in it, so I'm wondering if it's sucking air or something. I'll investigate it a little more when I get off work this evening. Probably the biggest accomplishment yesterday was getting the new SS dash and dakota digital gauges put in. Everything but fuel level is wired up and works good and looks pretty cool too. Definitely need to get some quality wire loom to tidy everything up though. I'm going to try to go ahead and get the back glass and windshield put this week and Friday I'm supposed to meet someone the site to pick up a pair of bucket seats.

Rear bumper looks like it's going to fit pretty well. Needs tightened up to trunk lid a little though.

Got some more work done over the past week. I finished up the sound deadener, hooked up the GPS speedometer to the Dakota Digital gauges, picked up the windshield to put in soon. Friday evening I drove 4 hours to pick up the bucket seats I traded for my bench seat from a guy here on the site. Saturday morning I cleaned the seats up, welded in the seat brackets and then loaded the car up to take it to my uncles cookout he was having and had several old classic cars there.

Those are some nice rides and the seats look great .

Car is looking good there quadracer.
Im a little puzled over the seat brackets...are they originaly like that.
Reason being my 70 just has studs coming up thru the floor...no brackets.
I sold the original bucket seats...but never saw brackets.

Car is looking good, and very cool rides at your uncles.

Thanks guys!! That 56 was probably one of the cleanest ones I've seen.

Mestorod70, My car originally came with a bench seat and had bolt holes in the floor. The bucket seats use studs and the brackets have the studs on them. I found a template online for where the studs are supposed to go, so I just welded the brackets in place. I guess I could have just ran some bolts up through the floor with big washers on them and done about the same thing.
