Got the tank straps done hanging drying. I pulled the tank out of storage. Perfect inside. Out side not so much. Factory undercoating still on it. surface rust. I gonna use it sanding it down.

I got to make my laundry list of things to buy and what to keep for local things. I got my budget for the year. Got the taxes filed and know what i got to work with.

Still making progress.

There will always be a list. I still have things to do to mine.

Had all kinds of good intentions... but the weather isn't playing along. It's miserable not having a garage.

Hands are sore and I am sure they will bleed by the time I am done with this.
Gas tank is a major undertaking cleaning it up. Take the torch to it. Which seems wrong in and of itself. Scrape the undercoating off best I can.
Then sand and foul a piece of sandpaper getting the residue off. Then sand to bare metal.
I hope there a 50 degree day so I can take it outside and paint it soon. I figure it this way. It is getting undercoated. So painting is a trivial thing. I know it supposed to be metal. But I more concerned with never screwing with it ever again. So rust is my concern. Never do that again.

Finally the planets were aligned... I had the day off and the weather is great. I uncovered the 72' and started to go over everything. Topped off the radiator, tried to prime the oil pump, wasn't seeing oil up top. Popped a valve cover, found a really loose rocker. Made the executive decision to re-run the valves. Very glad I did. If the car gods are smiling on me Saturday, I should be able to get it running and break in the cam.

Drove mine down to the park today and enjoyed the weather.

Got a set of headlight buckets and the rings that hold the headlights in today. Been sanding again. Will it ever be over.

It lives! Got the cam broken in, then I had a brain fart... barely leaned against the core support, fan nicked my expensive radiator. :(

Didn't get it too bad, but enough to spring a pin hole leak. And, I seem to have a couple of small pinhole leaks in the oil pan. It never ends...
