I bet, heard you might get hit again. Maybe it will be the last time finally for you this winter. I'm so ready for spring and cruise in time.

I wish it would go ahead and do its thing whatever it might be ,I hate being away from home but I can use the overtime for another transmission for my truck.

Always crossword puzzles to do........or thumb twidaling.

I have been web surfing like crazy but Im about to turn in for the night .I have a mattress on the floor near my work table calling my name.

Ms Grumpy 02-11-2014 07:05 PM

So how are things today John ? I hope you guys are OK. Please let us know.

Ms Grumpy 02-11-2014 07:06 PM

We are going to have a heat wave tomorrow. It should be in the mid 20's. I just want it to be warm enough to get rid of some of the ice on my driveway.

flash 02-11-2014 07:48 PM

It snowed all day today but most of it finally melted by about 2 PM ,we were supposed to stay on campus until this next storm passed but my boss decided we were not needed and got to go home at 3 PM .We are expecting ice and or snow tonight and tomorrow but I hope it misses us . It is nice to be home after 32 continous hours at work.

shadowgray396 02-11-2014 10:50 PM

Most of the snow is gone here. Was almost 50 today, but going to be very windy and wet tonight. Some flooding is expected with all the melting snow and rain. Thursday looks a little dryer.

flash 02-12-2014 07:38 AM

Its all icy and white here and snow keeps on coming down.

shadowgray396 02-12-2014 06:20 PM

Some sun balls today off and on. Starting to rain tonight again. Wasn't a bad day outside after all today.

flash 02-12-2014 06:33 PM

We are still getting freezing rain/snow mix .My driveway is about 750 feet to the street and I just walked up it to see how bad the paved road was as I have seen little traffic today .It is solid ice ,wont be going anywhere tomorrow .

Ms Grumpy 02-12-2014 09:01 PM

John, you and Joan need to be careful with all that ice. Stay inside and warm. Being where you are I hope that the temps will be going up soon and that it will all melt for you. Keep us informed on how you are doing.

flash 02-12-2014 09:48 PM

I dont plan on going anywhere til this crap is gone .

carpoor 02-12-2014 09:59 PM

It was 84 and sunny earlier today, then the rain and high winds came. (80-100 mph gusts) We've had a 30 degree temperature drop as a result.

shadowgray396 02-12-2014 09:59 PM

They keep saying it's going to be one of the worse ice storms in a long time.

Ms Grumpy 02-12-2014 10:44 PM

From what I am seeing on the news right now the people near John didn't learn from the last storm. Many people are stranded again.

flash 02-13-2014 08:36 AM

Traffic on my road has been very light ,mostly 4 wheel drives and ATV's ,we got a lot more snow during the night .

BillsCamino 02-13-2014 02:34 PM

I'm home.
Landed in ATL about 1pm. With temps in mid 40s, sunshine, and wind gusting to 30 mph this will all be gone soon.
The 38 mile drive from airport to home here in Marietta was simple...half the roads were dry, the others only wet from the meltdown.
Easily speed limit PLUS on the Interstates.

flash 02-13-2014 03:41 PM

Welcome back home Bill ,glad you made it home safely. The roads are finally clear here but still have a lot of snow on the roof and yard .I had to scrape the driveway with the tractor just to get out.

Ken Hayes 02-13-2014 03:51 PM

We're havin a heat wave here....27*.......pretty soon we'll be up to the freezing mark. Hope all this crap clears up soon......I wanna bring my car home in 43 more days from storage.

flash 02-13-2014 08:35 PM

It thawed out enough for us to visit the bodyshop today ,we just had to get out.

shadowgray396 02-13-2014 11:07 PM

Maybe that will be it for you now. Doesn't sound like you lost power from the storm in your area.

PLOWIN SNOW IN PITTSBURGH

On a bitterly cold winter morning a husband and wife in Pittsburgh were listening to the radio during breakfast. They heard the KDKA announcer say, "We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the even-numbered side of the street, so the Snow plows can get through." So the good wife went out and moved her car.

A week later while they are eating breakfast again, the radio announcer said, "We are expecting 10 to 12 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the odd-numbered side of the street, so the snow plows can get through." The good wife went out and moved her car again.
The next week they are again having breakfast, when the radio announcer says, "We are expecting 12 to 14 inches of snow today. You must park..." Then the electric power went out. The good wife was very upset, and with a worried look on her face she said, "I don't know what to do. Which side of the street do I need to park on so the snow plows can get through?"

Then with the love and understanding in his voice that all men who are married to blondes exhibit, the husband replied, "Why don't you just leave the car in the garage this time."

flash 02-14-2014 11:17 AM

That is always a good one ....... We are finally seeing all this crap melting away but yes we were lucky not to lose power.

shadowgray396 02-15-2014 09:15 AM

Raining and almost 60 yesterday, but now the state is under a flood watch and land slides with all the rain we are getting. Snow levels on the hills are now at 70 percent of normal and a few weeks ago we are at 10 percent.

Ms Grumpy 02-15-2014 02:46 PM

Back into the 20's today. After a couple days flirting with temps in the low 30's anything that may have melted has now turned into ice. Kids have been telling me it is supposed to warm up next week. I don't even want to watch the weather anymore.

BillsCamino 02-16-2014 07:32 AM

Forecast calling for temps in the mid 70s by Thursday. What a difference one week makes!!!
I hope the weather is decent next weekend...we're taking 3 grandkids to the Mardi Gras parades in LA.

Ken Hayes 02-16-2014 10:20 AM

We are back to snowin again. Said we were supposed to get only a dusting today (its already 2 1/2" now and still comin down) with more wet and heavy snow comin tomorrow.

RBeckman 02-17-2014 08:41 AM

Oh boy, more snow today and they are saying 4"-6" on top of the 70" we already have. I need a bigger snow blower.

Hank70SS 02-17-2014 09:11 AM

10 in the morning here and it's 71*. Supposed to be in the upper 70's low 80's through the week. I'll be thinking of you guys up there and thinking I'm glad I'm here.

shadowgray396 02-17-2014 11:09 AM

Rain and more rain and more rain for us. Has decided to make up for lost time. The Hawaii
pineapple express has hit. More snow in the upper elevations by the end of the week. I don't think a water shortage will be a problem for us this summer now.

flash 02-17-2014 01:41 PM

Our weather is great at the moment ,sunny but cool breezes from time to time ,much better than snow.

BillsCamino 02-18-2014 03:04 PM

What a difference one week makes!!!
It's 71 degrees and sunny right now. I've got one little hold out pile of snow in a shadowed corner under some azalea bushes on the north side of the house...about enough for two decent sized snowballs. :)
Thinking about bagging it and put it in the freezer for this Summer.

Ken Hayes 02-18-2014 05:35 PM

With the 3"-5" of snow we got last night, that put us over 6' of snow in the Detroit area so far this winter. I think we are at the #3 spot in record snowfalls here and we aint done with winter yet.

Ms Grumpy 02-18-2014 05:41 PM

I haven't been outside today. But I know that when we got home at 4am this morning we had about 4" of new snow on the ground. My kids were not happy that they had to shovel more snow this morning because I had made arrangements for my daughter to pick up a treadmill at 10am.

With the temps being above freezing today and by Thurday it is supposed to be about 40. Then back down to freezing on Friday. So our biggest problem right now are ice dams on the roof. I will be out there tomorrow seeing what I can do to chip away at the problem. I am not the only one many of my neighbors are dealing with the same thing.

smokenjoep01 02-18-2014 05:53 PM

Great cruising weather here in the South. Not to hot, not to cold. Just perfect for a old carbureted V8
Went down to Myrtle Beach. I hear theres a big car show down there in the spring.

Joe ,Run To The Sun is probably the show you are talking about ,we have not been in several years but its a great show. If you go back down there check out Suck,Bang,Blow ,a little biker bar just out of town with a burnout pit out back. This is THE ONLY bar my wife has ever been to and its where we met our friends band called Silver Travis .When we were at the show the bar owner invited all the Hot Rods to come use their burnout pit and viewing is on top of the bar roof. AND DONT DRIVE ON THE BEACH ,take my advice on that one .

flash 02-18-2014 06:27 PM

I forgot to say yes our weather today was wonderful ,I came home from work and split firewood ,I wanted to get the convertible out so bad that I could not stand it.

carpoor 02-18-2014 06:29 PM

81* today, hardly a cloud in the sky. And wouldn't you know it... been slow at work going on 3 weeks now. Hoping things pick up again, I need that OT money.

shadowgray396 02-18-2014 07:07 PM

I worked today and might as well been in the shower. Came home soaken wet. But was in the 50's so it wasn't all that cold.
