Good luck. The car has really come a long way. You have to be excited to see the progress.

What a drama. Its loaded and ready for transport today. We will see what transpires???
Quick unrelated question. Im wanting to go with the five spoke wheels of 71-72. The ones that are the same as the early 80's Z28's I found a set and am having them powder coated black. But I don't know if they need to be gloss, flat or satin? Would they come gloss from the factory?

It looks good .

The factory wheels were kind of an egg shell. And were not black. None of the "restoration paints" are even close.

Whats a close representation? This car is solid now. But far from concourse. I at least wanted to put effort to try to get it close. Shes a driver, or will be :)
Thanks for taking the time to comment yall. Thank you

The original color is kind of a green gray, and has a slight rough texture. I am currently trying to find someone who can mix me a really close batch of it. I have 11 wheels to paint.

This may help too, a guy on another site went to great lengths to duplicate the original texture and color.

If you didn't want to go through all that, a rattle can of semi gloss black and nobody that didn't know all the production line numbers would be the wiser. I had a set on my '71 SS clone and nobody ever said anything to me other than, "Nice car".

I have a powder coater I use for my motorcycle business. He is going to shoot them a semi gloss black.

Seymour Rattle Can "Cast Blast" is really close

O'reilly Auto sells it. They have it in the warehouse and can get it in a day. 16-048 is the Part number. For a rattle can it's pretty close.
