SS Shaun 11-27-2013 08:07 PM

on the trip back home
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...psdbb7a7c1.jpg
on the way home i started to notice a funny sound and here is what i found
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...psf8856744.jpg
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps77b26fc2.jpg

and these are the wheels
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps1335a9cb.jpg
so if anyone has that model for sale let me know :)

SS Shaun 11-27-2013 08:12 PM

so i switched over to ralley wheels
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps50a1881d.jpg

so now i am working on my interior. I am starting on the rear seats and found that the hooks are missing from the rear like this
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps6a828984.jpg

so here is the prototype
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...psde0ec541.jpg

even the bottom anchors where missing on my chevelle so i found a set on ebay and got them in. i know its ugly but they are solid and will not move (i hit them a few times with a 3lbs hammer should be good)
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps1c101b5e.jpg
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...pse319b6d9.jpg
top of the seat is in with the mounts and screwed in so happy

That's nothing, took me almost 7 years from the time I got the car until I got to drive it.

SS Shaun 01-13-2014 08:53 AM

yeah but you did a much better resto then i did! i am fearing the day that i take it to the body shop that is going to be like a 4-6k job!

Ms Grumpy 01-13-2014 09:05 AM

Lookiing good. I was checking out your gauges and it looks like they are right under the steering wheel. Maybe it is just the angle of the picture that makes it look that way.

SS Shaun 05-05-2014 10:41 AM

I have not had the chance to do much to my chevelle. I took some time this weekend to work on it. I installed the Shoulder Cowl on the passenger side. My welds are not that pretty but its going to be covered with seam sealer primer paint and the fender..lol so i think i will be ok..lol

I thought I had a picture of it before but basically I had no shoulder cowl it was hacked off and not done very well. So I had to wait almost 2 months for these things to show up but they are finally here.
http://chevelleforum.org/attachment....1&d=1396574707

and here is what how i started
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps924a10fc.jpg

then pulled out the spot welder
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps56c01442.jpg

then I filled in the gap from the cover to the front plate
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps5f2471bb.jpg

and finally held together with no issues just ugly..lol
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps5bea1ecd.jpg

i hope this week i can do the driver side and then do some grinding and seam sealer and paint it!

carpoor 05-05-2014 05:07 PM

Looks good to me.

Hank70SS 05-07-2014 08:09 AM

That's a big job Shaun, nice work.

SS Shaun 05-07-2014 01:45 PM

yea it was a big job! and i still have one more side to do..lol

caljon88 05-29-2014 06:35 AM

Looks good. I'll be doing the same thing in a few months, now I can see what I'm in for.

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...psv5sis6wb.jpg

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...psztg14jmi.jpg

SS Shaun 05-29-2014 12:20 PM

got started on the driver side shoulder cowl here is what was left with my cowl

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps5c430e95.jpg

cleaned it sanded it down and coated it with weld though primer
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps668311e3.jpg

and did a test fit on it

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps3d69712a.jpg

i think today i am going to finalize the test fit and burn some wire to it so i can move on :)

SS Shaun 07-03-2014 09:45 AM

its been a while since i updated this so i figured now is the time :)

so after the test fit i went ahead and did it :)
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps1yxpvkbc.jpg

a little before and after
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps4sr2dzfq.jpg

a little before and after on the other side
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...psdlqzhmti.jpg

SS Shaun 07-03-2014 09:48 AM

the completed product on the driver side

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...psyuegp4np.jpg

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...psnysdt4xh.jpg

completed passenger side

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...pshjjniemw.jpg

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...psamonrdu1.jpg

not pictured because its boring..lol I took the driver side door off because the bushing in the hinge was shot. So i rebuilt them and while i had the door off i sprayed some guide coat on it and sanded it down to make sure its nice and smooth. then i sanded the door jams nice and smooth and since i was at it i said might as well do the quarter panels as well. So as of right now the whole driver side is ready to primer :) now off to do the trunk area then the other side :)
