You know you could do like Gas Monkeys Garage does on there show and shoot that with a coat of clear to save the petina. It would be worth 40K, Lol.

All kidding aside I like the look.

I got my copy of Hagerty Classic Cars Magazine today and my car is in there. Small article, but fun to see it in a magazine.

flash 08-21-2013 11:13 AM

I will look for it when I get my copy.

SS Shaun 08-21-2013 12:24 PM

Lol, I wish I could put clear coat on it and make it worth 40K. I've actually had a few people want me to do that, but the body is to far gone to be able to or I just might. I kinda like that patina finish on some cars.

flash 08-22-2013 11:05 AM

I have not even seen my Chevelle this week ,been too sick to play with it .

BillsCamino 08-22-2013 12:45 PM

You didn't sound too good last Saturday. :(
Did you drive home with the top down????

carpoor 08-22-2013 12:53 PM

Took forever, but got the driveshaft in today. It's a bitch having limited strength and flexibility in your dominant arm. Got a tracking # for my radiator last night, should be here next week.

flash 08-22-2013 04:26 PM

Bill,we didnt get to drop the top ,it started raining right after we left and rained on and off all the way home .I will be glad to get over this crap.

BillsCamino 08-22-2013 06:10 PM

I took the more southern route home...I-20
Didn't hit any precip until around the state line. About the same area as when I drove thru there on the way to the HOD show early that morning.
I too am SO tired of all this rain...it's doing so here right now and has most of the afternoon. :(

SS Shaun 08-22-2013 08:53 PM

got the timing set and have it up and running :)

shadowgray396 08-25-2013 09:47 PM

Was not a good start to my day. Went down south to a car show and this is what happened on the way down
http://chevelleforum.org/picture.php...pictureid=3673

And then this happened
http://chevelleforum.org/picture.php...pictureid=3672
Hasn't rained here in 3 months. Got my leak test done.

I was the last car in because of the flat on the trailer and got parked in the back next to the BQ area.

But the day did end better
http://chevelleforum.org/picture.php...pictureid=3674

And I made it back home with no problems.

carpoor 08-28-2013 01:18 PM

Just gathering parts lately, new radiator, ignition coil, mandrel bent tail pipes are here, & a master cylinder is in the mail. I need belts, and a battery next.

Once I feel up to it, lots of assembly to be done. Then on the trailer for a front end alignment and exhaust system.

shadowgray396 08-28-2013 11:24 PM

Started repairs on the trailer today and worked on the deck before winter gets here. Looking for wheels and tires for the car trailer for the Chevelle. Need to get the Chevelle over to a friends house and on his lift to find out where my oil leak is.

fleming23 09-02-2013 02:24 PM

Took mine to Caffeine & Octane, the huge local cruise-in, yesterday. Other than waking up earlier than a normal work day it was a good morning to get the car out!

Car got a little attention which was fun!

You have to be very happy.

carpoor 09-11-2013 12:13 PM

Well, here is my last update for a while. I managed to get a few things done Saturday, and today.

Still needs: alternator rebuild/restoration, belts, battery, the rest of the exhaust system, front end alignment. And of course me... to finish assembling it.

shadowgray396 09-11-2013 06:30 PM

Looking good.

shadowgray396 09-11-2013 06:31 PM

Took the Chevelle out for a cruise last night. Been a few weeks since I have had it out.

SS Shaun 09-11-2013 08:48 PM
