Tony, sorry I missed you, you were about 7 miles from me.

I did get the door moved up today for a cost of $300.00 it took 2 guys about 3 hours to do it and they had to replace the jack shaft to a older style as the one I had a internal spring. I did not get the garage door opener installed as they wanted $500.00 and I can get a one for under $300 and it looks like a easy install as it hooks to the jackshaft http://www.amazon.com/LiftMaster-380.../dp/B000MT7WV4. I just have to run a electrical outlet to over by the door.

So far I have $2814 for the lift and garage door being moved and the assembly of the lift so I'm very happy.

Me too. Now you can finally put those trim rings on your wheels, no bending over to do it.

Tony, sorry you did not get a chance to get out here today, I'm less than a mile from Lasco Ford. Let me know when you are going there and I'll try to be around. Are you looking for parking lift, if I had all the room you do I'd like to have a 2 post as they are better to work on the cars. I did get the jack tray that fits mine so I can lift the front or rear of the car to pull the wheels pretty easy to work on stuff.

Let's talk, I have another set of originals in nice shape, no curb rash.

Ric,

I was just thinking, it happens some times with no warning. How much weight can that lift handle. Was thinking, it happened again, about headers and dual exhaust on the motorhome. It's no more than 16,500lbs, 31' 11" long, 8' wide and little less than 12' high. That shouldn't be problem should it? :D

No problem, the lift is rated for 9000 lbs, the runway is 14 ft long and my garage door is 7 foot high....I think we can get it to work or you could get someting like this http://www.superiorautolifts.com/pro...roducts_id=287 then you would be the talk of neighborhood. All you have to do is hit the ADD TO CART button.

Yea that lift would definitely do it. Don't know where I'd put it but it would do the job.
