That trans has sat around for a while since it was rebuilt.
I'm wondering if now that it finally has fluid in it, seals and all will swell/loosen and it will work as it supposed to. Tranny fluid is high in detergent.
I believe the tranny guys use some type of assembly lube or petroleum jelly to hold the check balls in place.
That lube may have dried out.
If not, I'll gladly refund your $$$

Bill , we are going to play with it a little to see if it frees up but not interested a refund . Im just glad we are getting close to being done.

Hey John, I heard you guys are going to get freezing rain and about 9" of snow. If the little bit of snow you got before wrecked havok.......imagine what this will bring.....stay inside and stay safe.

Our state and local officials are getting real worked up over this one .After staying on campus last night for nothing Im just glad to be home ,never been so bored in my life .I have a generator ,gas and hopefully enough firewood and my work is closed for tomorrow so Im happy to stay inside . I hope this whole storm turns into a non event.

I'm back in the States...flew from Dublin to JFK today and connected to Buffalo, NY this afternoon.
I wanted to get out of NYC by tonight...storm is headed up the East coast.
Got famlily & friends here I can visit with here in Buffalo plus there are non stops to Atlanta or I can go thru Detroit...even back thru JFK or LGA if necessary.
Would like to get home by Friday if at all possible...Anne's B-day.

Bill ,its a mess around here ,ice everywhere .Only time Im going out is for firewood and to clean off the satelite antenna .Its still coming down ,freezing rain/snow mix ,been at it all day.

I went up to the bodyshop yesterday and they are still making progress ,the turn signal assembleys arrived and are installed ,the second gas tank sending unit showed up and it works right , the transmission should be there tomorrow . The alignment should be done and the A/C should be charged .Its getting closer ........................

I went up to the bodyshop again today to see my truck and I got to drive it back inside the shop ,first time I've driven it in 3 years .The trans is working ,alignment done ,carb fine tuned ,and A/C charged but another issue has come up. The brake lights are not working right ,barely step on the brake and the lights come on ,step on them hard and the lights go off but Im sure they will get it figured out.

I'm sure the brake switch problem can be solve quickly. So does that mean you will have it home after that is fixed?

It still needs a few little spots touched up and then cut and buffed but it is looking like it will be home soon.

It doesn't seem like it has been 3 years John. I am so happy for you. I am heading down to South Carolina in May, and if I can maneuver it, I would love to come and see you and Joan while David and Jacob go to the fun shoot.

I wish it was ready to come home but not yet ,its so close .They need to cut and buff it and do a couple of small repairs (dings) ,I cant wait .

Im so excited ,my truck is coming home , I hope .I called the shop this morning to check on the progress and they hope to kick it out the door saturday morning . Its supposed to rain saturday morning and I also have to be somewhere else so Im hoping they get it ready to come home late tomorrow evening ,otherwise Im going to insist they come back and open the shop saturday evening and turn it loose . I cant wait ,its been a long 3 year process and I cant wait to put a bunch of miles on it .

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF it comes home tomorrow I may put in for a vacation day friday and get some seat time in and maybe go to the first friday cruise in in downtown canton . I need to start burning some vacation days before I lose them anyway.

Truck is finally home ,we picked it up at 4:30 and didnt get home til 9:00 PM ,man it was nice cruisin a new old truck .

Bill ,we are off this friday and plan to take it to downtown canton for their friday night cruise but we may just have to come see you if you are going to be home . Im very happy with the truck ,it was worth the wait .

We should be home...still knee deep in the kitchen remodel project. Truckload of cabinets delivered this AM.
And the poor wagon sits out in the shop without an engine/trans. :(
