72 Driver NorthCarolina UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Thanks Ms.Grumpy. As I sit in my shorts on the side deck of the house grilling steaks. I look into my empty garage. Because I was able to get the tags and insurance & drove it down and left it at the muffler shop. There doing a full welded 2 1/2" dual system with a X pipe. Cant wait to pick it up.
It needs a little tuning. Just set timing by ear. It was missing slightly under light load. High load and idle it runs smooth. I would guess fuel related.

Ya it was very nice. Cold front is coming in. Going to get down in low 50's
Well the exhaust came out sweet. I am quite pleased overall. I just would of liked it a bit louder.:) But its a small motor. :( Tomorrow installing the new front shocks and wheels! And try to get it aligned. It goes good straight but darts quickly with just a slight turn of the wheel. But Im liking the Jeep gearbox from what Iam felling already.

Back from the alignment shop. Next its get hvac working properly. Then I can remove the bumper and get the grill installed.

Need some help with wipers. Seems both sets Ray sent me have 2 arms on the left side. My car must be missing a pin to connect the smaller flat arm. All I have is a splined round male end. With a hole next to it that looks to be the diameter of said pin.

Cant wait till I get the Heavy Chevy stripes on it. How hard of a job is it too install them? Do you spray them with water and get them positioned and squeegee out the air bubbles?

Look at you wiper motor, the concealed wiper motor is round and tubular shaped. I believe the non-concealed motor is rectangular. Also if you posts that your wipers attach to looks the same on the left and the right when you have the non concealed wipers.

Concealed wipers have a two-piece arm for the driver's wiper; the second piece is smaller, thinner, and is more-or-less parallel to the main arm. The secondary arm pivots off a pin at the cowl area. See photo

Non-concealed wipers have a driver's arm that is similar to the passenger arm in that there's the main arm and no secondary arm.

In 72 if it was a Malibu or a SS car it had the hidden wipers. The base Chevelle models came the other way. Non hidden. The non hidden cars have a different stainless trim below the windshield. It was a thinner piece, not as tall so to speak. So look at your stainless trim, it will measure 3" high in the center or 3-1/8" high on the ends if the car came with hidden wipers.

I believe I have an extra hidden wiper transmission arm, but you would have to change your motor if it the wrong one.

Does your VIN start with 134, or 137?

It's going to look killer with those stripes. I would really like to build one. But, have my sights set on a 69' two door hard top next.

The stainless on the hidden wiper has a stop at the bottom for the wiper to sit on.

If you convert to hidden system you would need a new motor, transmission arm, stainless strip, and wiper switch
