I worked on the boat. Hull and top are white, then some red. Sides are black. Well they used to be they turned gray from oxidation. Wheeled out one side with Meguirs cutting compound, turned out pretty good but it's a lot of work. I'll work on the other side next week, when it's going to close to 90 all week.

It is alot of work but so worth it.

Back to work on the 4wd GMC Sierra, the rear brakes are giving me trouble. I moved up the rear axle swap. Not going to put any money into the drum brakes on the 10 bolt. Swapping in a 14 bolt semi floater 9.5" ring gear light duty rear axle. Got the 10 bolt out today, and the 14 bolt SF rear set up the truck. Got to get it bolted in and then tear it down for the posi/gear swap. After that, rockers and cab corners.

Found some headliner glue that works.
Its called DAP weldwood and comes in gallon or 5 gallon.
You have to use a spray gun.
On the can its not for sale in calif and for pro use only....go figure.

Mine has been sitting I storage since we moved, 5 months ago. still waiting for carpets and kitchen cabinets to arrive so we can move in. Hoping by August 1st to finally move in. Then a new shop is the next project.

Opened the distributor up the other day. Pulled the vacuum advance off and sprayed everything with WD40. Cruising at a steady speed the car would buck a lot. Centrifugal advance shouldn't cause that, it reacts to engine rpm. Vacuum advance seemed fine but that's all I could think of. It should react to changes in vacuum, not rpm.

Anyway it seems better now. Idle drops down to where it should. Last year it would hang up at different rpms. Replaced the centrifugal advance but that didn't help. So anyway, all good now or at least for now.

I have been working on the boat too. Had it running after replacing carb. Had to stop because water pump in outdrive was shot. Pulled the lower unit off and rebuilt the pump. Started it up to tune the carb and set the timing. Carb leaked fuel onto manifold, had to stop again. Rebuilding throttle control, won't go into throttle only. Hard to start when you can't run the throttle up some.

I had to redo the throttle on mine to. 2 little plastic parts need replaced. Works like new.
