shadowgray396 11-09-2013 09:06 AM

Wish I could get mine out, but the rains are here.

Ms Grumpy 11-09-2013 06:57 PM

This morning I went to the storage facility where I will be storing my Chevelle. It is still sitting in my garage cause everytime I made arrangements to take it, something happened. Anyway, when I walk into the office there were a few guys filling our paperwork to store their vehicle. I start filling out mine when I hear Brian, the manager say, "We don't have any room for Black Chevelles". I turn around an he has the biggest smile on his face. Now I only had my car at this place last year, and for him to remember me, and the car was pretty cool. But like a man there said, it is not too many women who own a car like me. I told him that he would be surprised how many women own classics. I am hoping to get it into storage by the end of the week. The temps are dropping quickly and she needs her rest.

I just went in my shop and looked at our toys today ,did nothing .

Ken Hayes 11-10-2013 10:04 PM

Friday I put the "ride" to bed for the winter. Got tired of hearin the other half complain about havin to scrape the windows off of the Edge. Get the car back out in March.........boy I hope its a fast winter.

Today Sunday, I clay-bared the Edge and put a coat of wax on it.........then I heard on the weather channel........rain tomorrow..........figures!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well it only rained just a little......................but friggin snowed a bunch, so much that its stayin on the grass and its causing alot of accidents around town.

ProStreet67 11-13-2013 03:56 PM

Went to a few shows last weekend. Won a few trophies actually. Last out door show of the season. Last show is an indoor show, East Coast Indoor Nationals- putting the chevelle in the show. Should be a good last show of the season.

SS Shaun 11-13-2013 10:17 PM

i didnt touch my car all week i need to install new lighting. it was so annoying to use a lamp in my garage so now i have this
https://scontent-b-lga.xx.fbcdn.net/...14312473_n.jpg

shadowgray396 11-13-2013 10:28 PM

Looks well lighted. I have 9-2 bulbs fluorescent lights in my garage to light it up. Nothing like working in a garage that is will lit up.

SS Shaun 11-14-2013 07:50 AM

yeah my buddy drove by and he called me he said to me "dude i can see your garage from the moon what did you do?" he stopped over when he was on his way back and he was said "wow you can really see in here now...lol"

shadowgray396 11-14-2013 08:34 AM

I put mine on 3 switches so I can light up just 3 lights at a time if I don't need all of them on. This is how mine is lit. You will really enjoy the extra lights. Seems like the older you get the more light we need. Lol

http://i777.photobucket.com/albums/y...Picture010.jpg

SS Shaun 11-14-2013 09:37 AM

yeah i wanted to put it on a different switch but i just didnt have the space to do it on my switch that is there already. I am going to run another switch just not yet..lol
but yours looks good i like the setup

Ms Grumpy 11-14-2013 08:10 PM

I want your garage Ray, car included. :)

Tomorrow is the day. I shall be taking the lady to put into storage. I will miss knowing that she is sitting inside the garage. But I know that she will be safe and warm all winter.

Ken Hayes 11-19-2013 12:50 PM

Boy you really know how to rub it in John.......BTW I will be sending you some snow later on........I do have your home address now :-)

flash 11-19-2013 01:44 PM

I dont even want to see snow on a postcard , I hate the stuff . We had enough in the blizzard of 92 or 93 to last me a lifetime .We aint prepared for that stuff down here.

BillsCamino 11-19-2013 04:54 PM

If it wasn't for T-giving family plans in Louisiana next week...I'd be driving the wagon down to Daytona for the Turkey Rod run.
First Run I've missed in a while... :(

Ms Grumpy 11-19-2013 05:56 PM

Ray, I do like it. The floors are cleaned after each season. If you suspect that your car leaks anything, they ask that you bring a large piece of cardboard to put under your car. The bonus is that if someone wanted to steal my car, I am at the furthest point in the warehouse.

shadowgray396 11-19-2013 06:17 PM

Working on some detailing on the car today. Trying to decide since the front fender tie bar and the hood latch was chrome when I got it, if I shoud go with a chrome radiator top cover. What do you all think.

fleming23 11-19-2013 06:43 PM

My personal preference is no chrome on the top plate. I had one and swapped it out for a black plate and my car has more "flash" than most original styled cars. I think the black top plate definitely fits your car better!

On another note

The new oil pan and stainless tank went in today! (sticker is only temporary.) I hope this is the last time the motor is off the mounts for a LONG, LONG time!

This is just after putting the two straps on - ignore all the grubby finger prints and dirty undercarriage!

Not tomorrow morning, although I'll probably be there sometime in the evening. Thursday morning I plan to be there from 8:30-10:30. I can drop it by Thursday morning if you would like and leave it if I don't see you.

Was that custom made?

chevysquid 11-19-2013 09:22 PM

Today I replaced the windshield wiper motor. The old one moved at turtle speed.

Ken Hayes 11-19-2013 09:41 PM

Its made out of aluminum. You can get em anodized in black, aluminum or polished and can have anything CNC engraved on it that you want at www.undercoverinnovations.com I ordered mine on a Wed and had it at my house on Tuesday. They are in California.

SS Shaun 11-19-2013 09:54 PM

fixed the mounting brackets on the driver side tomorrow i hope to get passenger side done then work on the rear mounts :)

shadowgray396 11-24-2013 09:25 PM

Took the Chevelle for a drive today after I added stabil in the gas tank today. Now I going to pull the dash back out and have the gauges looked to see why my tach and temp gauge are not working correctly. Going to wait until after Christmas before I begin.

SS Shaun 11-25-2013 07:58 AM

So lastnight i got in the garage and i said i am going to mount the back seat in correctly. so i made these
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...psde0ec541.jpg
made 4 just in case i messed one up
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps002ae80e.jpg

bent them so i can have the hooks out and then weld and rivet them in place
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...psa1b83595.jpg

and now the seat has the hooks and the bolts in place.
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...pse319b6d9.jpg

tonight i will put in the bottom anchor and put the seat in its place until i get my seat belts :) then tomorrow i will put the carpet in and work on getting some more parts :)
