We skipped the white stuff here but we are beginning to get the cold wind pushing down now but better than snow.

it supposed to be flurries or a small amount of snow here in a hour or so. Then down to zero tonight.

Saturday night was extreme winds with a few tornadoes north and south of us.
Two people lost their lives up in manatee county.
We lost power for 8 hours yesterday.
Lots of trees and fences down locally ... i think we made the news in port charlotte.

35 degrees currently, my day off. :( I doubt I'll be leaving the house for anything.

35 would be awesome. It was 7 here a little while ago, now it's only 5.

This past Saturday it was 76 and sunny. 35 is a real buzzkill.

Got my ice melt. Took the blade off of the snow shovel. Cut it square again and pop rivited it back on, Out side edges wore off and came loose. I gonna try to nap some. it supposed to be snowing at 4 am. I got to be out there so we can make our runs tomorrow. Keep the cliff.....err drive clear so I can get in and out.
19 here. Forecast changes by the hour. So get ready something coming. Just a matter of how much.

Never got much above 50 degrees today. The forecast for tomorrow is 65 degrees, god I hope so.

Could be an ice/snow event for North GA starting tomorrow afternoon. Got 5 or 6 counties already closing schools.

Well it has arrived. My sons school called and they off. I got to get some coffee in me then go put the heater in the truck and clear the drive. So far wife still got school.

No snow low here. Just rain, rain and more rain. Another 5" month so far, with lots more on the way. Grass has turned to moss.

We are currently getting rain/freezing rain mixture off and on .

Around here we dodged the bullet. Got about 1/4" yesterday and maybe a dusting today, but it sure is cold out there. Yesterday and today low 20's and at night low single digits.

Looks like we also may dodge this bullet ,it warmed up and was a very cold rain earlier ,it has settled down to 32 degrees now and currently not raining .

But the Gov declared a State of Emergency. :D

I actually met some friends for lunch today...drove out Hwy 92/140 heading east on Holcomb Bridge.
After I crossed GA400 the sun was out. Stayed out until I drove back home westbound on the same route about 1 1/2 hrs later. By the time I reached Roswell Square, it was raining & sleet. Rained continued at home most of the afternoon.
Weird day...

Here we go. For us tomorrow is the good one. 6 inches. But where I am at the top of the ridge on the river valley we always gets 2-3 more than predicted in nearby places.
So it gonna be the one for the winter it looks like.
Driveway is half ice already. So I be battling it tomorrow all day. Because once my drive is iced it is useless till it warms up in spring and warms up.
And I prefer getting in the van in the heated garage than the Cold cold truck in the front drive.

Spoiled I guess. Truck with its 4WD is a lifesaver but once the roads are clear. I like parking it back in its spot in the back.

Just gassed up the generator...this one coming in later tomorrow is looking nasty!!!!!!! :(

Im not at all pleased with the timing of the next one and it does look nasty .My truck is ready to come home from the hotrod shop in Tennessee and I was planning to go get it early saturday but it dont look like that is gonna work out .I just hope Im not forced to stay at work and shovel the sidewalks and spread ice melt ,that SUCKS .

Cant we just skip the rest of winter ?

73* today, it was a nice change. Did not get to go outside and do anything though, I worked most of the day. Then came home, took medicine, and went to bed. I am fighting off some sort of "funk" that is going around.

Tomorrow will be full of fail, 70* for the high temp and 90% chance of rain.

We've still got the '65 SS convert up at Dave Birdwell's ready to be picked up. Can't seem to get a break in the weather between here and there to get it!! :(

It was 44* and dark at 7am. Currently 41* and sunny, yes - it actually got colder. :(

I am officially sick... sore throat, congested, fever, annoying cough, etc.

Carpoor ,that crap is aweful ,my wife has had it for 2 weeks and just cant completely shake it .Hope you get over it much faster and hope I can skip it .Hope you feel better soon ,I have been loading up on powdered vitamin c .

Amazingly enough the snow pretty much missed us. I had maybe? 1 1/2 inches in the drive. Roads clear so I driving the van. Truck in its spot and I am happy about it. Gettin in a vehicle in the garage is so preferred to going out in this cold.

Ridiculous amounts of snow just north and south of us. For whatever reason there was a clear spot above us during that whole ordeal.

Sunny and 50 here today...all that white crap (the little that we had) is gone!!

We still have a little up here ,it should be gone tomorrow though.Today was pretty nice with no wind .

34* this morning! High of 55*, winds hovered around 7 MPH NNW. I am feeling awful, can't seem to shake whatever I have.

Wow, sunny and 60 today. Record high for today. Although we have had 20" of rain the last 6 weeks. Rain returns tomorrow.

Today was cloudy and cold ,dont think it got much above 40 with a pretty good wind ,Im so over winter and ready for spring .

Wow it is nice today.I am at a birthday party at the Slip and Slide. I am sitting in the van in a T Shirt with the door open. Snuck out to smoke.

It was sunny and almost warm today ,very nice day .Tomorrow will be even better as my 72 Chevy Truck finally comes home for good .

Today is extremely warm for January it might hit 50 today. But it is rainy and dreary. The upcoming week will be back down to freezing. I will take it while I can get it.

Today was pretty nice after a while when we got to Tennessee the sun finally came out and it was 65 degrees .We drove across the Great Smoky Mountains on the way home and there was still lots of snow everywhere on the mountains .It is nice to finally have heat and air in the truck and it drove great on its journey home .
