It has been hot and raining on and off for the past few days. Tomorrow will be in the low 80's and then it is supposed to climb as the week goes on.
Leaving for the NOCC show on Thursday morning. The radar is showing rain in Strongsville, Ohio on Wed, Thurs and Fri. When we leave here just north of Detroit there is a possibility of rain on Thursday. Keeping fingers crossed that it is just sprinkles cause my son will be driving the Suburban following me. It is just under a 3 hour trip, but the longest one that he has made yet. |
We are leaving right after work on wednesday and will drive up to the kentucky state line and find a room for the night and hopefully get to Strongsville around noon thursday.
Have fun everyone.
It has been a little cooler, but you wouldn't know it because of the humidity. I am so ready for less humidity.
Been raining here for a week. An occasional break in the showers then more rain. Some areas around here got more rain in the last few days than in all of June and July. Enough already! The lawn was fertilized a little over a week ago, I'm going to need a brush hog to knock it down if it ever stops raining.
Same here with the rain. And temps went to the 50's in the morning. I had to turn the water on to the heater in the van now. Fall is stalking us.
Still trying to reason with hurricane season here...
How ironic...
Category 4 hurricane is about to decimate this state. :( |
Hope all goes well for you guys down there.
Stay safe down there.
Weekend to a category 3, windy and rainy. Seems milder than they expected. My folks lost a portable garage. I moved the Pontiac out of it yesterday afternoon, glad did.
Well, the power went out around 1:30 pm, it's still out. :grumpy:
Heard there's 1 million people without power from the storm. Hopefully damage will be minimal.
Went without power for 27 hours, so glad that they got it fixed this afternoon.
Just be thankful it wasn't here in the winter with no power. Glad you got power back. Any wind damage?
Just the tarps on the portable garages, and a few screens on their pool deck. Woke up to barely 60* today! Loving it! :)
only 45 here fall is coming.
61° and raining all yesterday. Looks like a few dry days ahead, I need it the lawn is getting long again.
Predicting 6" of rain in the next 4 days. Looking really wet.
Hurricane force wind expected on Saturday. First storm like this since the Columbus Day storm of 1962. We got 6" of rain just yesterday with more on the way Friday and Saturday
Stay safe Ray.
Wind wasn't bad. Just lots and lots of rain.
Currently 52 degrees! It was 77 when I went to bed at 10 pm last night. Very thankful for the cold front.
In the 30's here, was 80 on Monday. I think fall has finally arrived.
I think your right. 42 this morning here. Had to crank up the heater.
Staying around 60 here. So far we have had around 7" of rain this month. More then double the amount we get for the month of October
Hey shadow somebody posted a car looked just like your doing a 100 ft wheelie on facebook. Driving it like they stole it.
48* yesterday morning, back up to 83* today.
The past 3 days have been upper 60s - low 70s in the morning, mid 80s during the day. I know that I should be careful what I wish for, but I am ready for the 40-50 degree mornings to return.

I got the trans lines fixed on the truck. So we back to just a main seal leak. It is ready for winter. I did some rust repair and paint on the front fenders so it don't look nasty. Won't be long that thing coming apart chevelle style getting serious metal welded in new fenders and a new motor. Paint and undercoat it on a serious basis. Instead of the wienie cans I been using. They work but it needs work. I like the trucks style and it is a tank in the snow. So it will join the chev and van in the keep forever cars category. I got my moneys worth out of her and she passed the probationary period LOL. Fixing restoring things is a sickness I guess. |
Well here it is the day after Halloween, Nov 1st here in the Motor City and its 78° outside. Sure is some crazy weather happenin out there.
Hope you enjoyed it Ken, I did. Temps in the 70's, plenty of sunshine the leaves changing color, nice day. Get ready though, the temps will drop and leaves will fall. Then you get to clean them up when it's cold and wet out there.
Finally some break in the rain. Had over 8" at my house and up to 14" close by for the month of October. 65° and sunny today.
getting chillier here. 40's in the morning only up to 60 this afternoon. rain said it is over for at least 5 days. I spent the day detailing cars. Van, Durango, Buddies new car. I even broke down and moved the chev outside for a hose soap and water wash. Been 2 years since it was outside. It has been so long since that car has been wet. I am holding the hose and thinking this is so wrong before I hosed it down.
Record breaking temperatures after a month of record breaking rain. Been 70 the last few days.
First frost this morning here.
42 this morning. First time below 50 at night. Starting to cool down around here.
Here to I am working in the shop with a sweatshirt on and a electric heater running. I got a memory from facebook today. 2 years ago a bunch of snow. I got the ol truck at the bottom next to the door and a charger on it. Getting it ship shape for the cold blast approaching.
A week before Thanksgiving and I spent most of the day in a t-shirt blowing up leaves. There's still more on some of the trees, guess I'll get them in spring. Around 70 today, Sunday high in the 30's, yea, they can stay there till spring.
All my leaves have left my yard with our 70 miles wind gusts tonight. It was a great day with temps in the 70's
