We don't have any standing water, our house sits up kind of high but the ground is pretty much saturated. Been here 16 years and have never seen the yard this wet for this long.

shadowgray396 05-08-2017 09:08 PM

Finally about 5 days of no rain. Been in the 70's. Rain returns on Thursday thru next week. Still haven't made a car show yet, but really not much out there until next month around here. Rains to much until June around here.

pitts64 05-09-2017 07:22 AM

It's been decent here in Pittsburgh since February but were close to the Mason Dixon and don't get that Northern weather thank God...

I undercoat with spray grease and drive mine in the rain... I take it off the road once they salt for winter..

carpoor 05-11-2017 10:09 PM

It was almost 100 degrees today. It hovered around 96-97 most of the afternoon. It's still 80 degrees as I type this.

FlintTony 05-12-2017 03:48 AM

Has it rained again yet? Up in Citrus County, it is exceptionally dry. I hope the fires don't get up there. My brother said he can smell the smoke.

carpoor 05-12-2017 01:27 PM

Not for about a week. 20-30% chance tomorrow.

shadowgray396 07-15-2017 11:08 PM

35 days of no rain. I'm in heaven after the winter we had.

chevymaher 07-16-2017 05:56 AM

Really Ray. It is terrible here if it don't rain that long. Deadly hot and I have to stand in it and water for hours. I prefer nice heavy evenly spaced rains myself.

flash 07-16-2017 08:43 AM

We have had about 3 days in a row last week of no rain ,it rained yesterday and looks like rain again today .My lawn mower has been stuck more this summer than ever before and I cant keep the grass mowed nice as its too thick and always wet .Im glad I have a tractor to pull the mower out .

shadowgray396 07-20-2017 10:24 AM

Very dry this summer here. Still no rain predicted. In the high 80's next week. We don't have the humidity like you guys have, so its very tolerable.

carpoor 07-20-2017 05:47 PM

Still hot and humid daily, and the typical afternoon rain.

shadowgray396 07-31-2017 12:09 AM

45 days no rains. Heat wave coming starting Tuesday. 105 degrees plus till Friday. That going to be a record. We don't have AC in our home.

FlintTony 07-31-2017 04:10 AM

Why no AC? Man, you're going to be roasting!

flash 07-31-2017 05:54 AM

Im going to have central A/C in my home next year ,have a furnace and window units but they cant keep up after taking out 30 trees that blocked the sun .The last few days here have been very nice .

Most of the time we really don't need it. Our summers are mid 70's to mid 80's, with it cooling off quickly at night. But the weather patterns are changing. For us 5 - 100 degree days is it for the year. I'm heading to the beach house, it going to be about 70 down there all week. Our humidity is only 15% this time of year.

carpoor 07-31-2017 05:40 PM

15% humidity sounds amazing. It's 100% here. (Rain)

shadowgray396 08-08-2017 12:19 AM

53 days of no rain. It might start to change next week just before the total eclipse on August 21st. They are predicting a million people coming into our area for it. Excepting traffic to be a night mare. Been about 90 every day.

chevymaher 08-08-2017 05:51 PM

Here it is a bizarre summer. It is getting reasonably hot. But at night it is getting cold enough to turn the heater on in the van. It normally is in the 80's at night in aug.

carpoor 08-08-2017 06:06 PM

Send some of that here, a cool night here is 75* with high humidity .

Today was blazing hot, around 93* with a heat index of 102. I spent my day off putting a set of power leather seats in my father's Sierra for him. Wasn't a plug and play deal, his truck is a base model with crank windows.

chevymaher 08-08-2017 11:56 PM

62 degrees here now.

carpoor 08-09-2017 07:09 PM

It's 88* here. :(

shadowgray396 08-19-2017 09:27 PM

The 100 degree weather is finally gone, we have been 65 days with only 0.10 inches of rain. Been around the mid 80's now.

We have about a million extra people in Oregon to watch the eclipse on Monday. Roads are expected to be grid locked on Monday and Tuesday. A lot of businesses are telling people to stay home. Gas and food is also in short supply with all these people. I heard farms are renting out there fields for camping at around $400 a night for a camping space. Hotel rooms are going for as much as a $1000 a night. It's gone crazy.

shadowgray396 08-21-2017 10:43 PM

Eclipse day.

shadowgray396 08-27-2017 10:49 PM

Back to 100, while parts of the country are getting wind and rain. We have only had a 0.10 of an inch of rain since June 1st. Went from the wettest winter on record to looks like the driest summer. Weather is all over the place anymore.

flash 08-28-2017 05:53 AM

Been pretty dry here the last couple of weeks but we may get some rain from the storms hitting Texas .Those folks are getting hammered.

chevymaher 08-29-2017 05:10 AM

It is unseasonably mild here for aug. 60's in the morning when it should be at least 80. Afternoon it is only hitting 80 a moment and immediately dropping back into the 70's. Been real dry. Hoping the rain the called for don't miss us again.

Hank70SS 08-29-2017 06:52 AM

Highs should be around 80 but have only been in the low 70s. Supposed to warm up some over Labor Day. Got a good soaking rain yesterday. We needed it, some of the lawn was pretty toasted.

shadowgray396 08-29-2017 10:07 PM

We're getting all the smoke from the fires south of us. It was so smokely today we only hit mid 80's. Back in my the high 90's this Labor Day weekend.

carpoor 09-03-2017 01:55 PM

It's been high 80s to mid 90s, muggy and rain every day.

shadowgray396 09-04-2017 08:29 PM

98 today, but never saw the sun with all the smoke in the air. We have fires all over. The lastest fire because someone set off fireworks in the woods. Really?? Still no rain in sight. We haven't had any real rain since June. That not our normal. Went out tonight and the truck is covered in ash.

carpoor 09-05-2017 04:10 PM

Well... time for a category 5 hurricane. Hunker down!

Half the people in this country are below average intelligence and you can't cure stupid. I know it seems like more than half but that just means the average is pretty darn low.

Our weather has been up and down. Should be close to 80 for a high, this week and last some days didn't see 70. Oh and yesterday was 85-86. We have been getting some rain though which we need.

shadowgray396 09-05-2017 06:22 PM

Fire has spread over 10,000 acres and has burnt up most of the scenic area in the gorge and now has moved 20 miles west toward towns. It's jumped across the Columbia River 3/4 of a mile now into Washington and growing over there. Hot embers keep starting more fires. We are so dry it's not taking much. 93 today again.

flash 09-05-2017 09:51 PM

We got some much needed rain tonight and probably will get much more from the Hurricane that is about to hit somewhere in Florida , I feel for the folks down there as it looks like it will be really bad .

chevymaher 09-06-2017 05:43 AM

Us to we got rain. It is now warmish but not as hot as it should be. Kinda nice actually.

mestorod70 09-06-2017 10:35 AM

Here is the weekend forcast for my area....in case i dont make it.
160 mph wind...2 feet of water surounding whats left of my house.
And everything i own is scattered in a 5 mile radius.

Hank70SS 09-06-2017 05:55 PM

carpoor, mestrod hope you guys stay safe. Just saw latest storm track and looks like it will hit the keys and up the east coast through Miami. If that's not bad enough 2 more storms have formed in the Atlantic that are right behind Irma. Hopefully they don't follow the same track. Good luck and stay safe.

shadowgray396 09-06-2017 10:11 PM

Irma looks mad. Going to hit hard. Be safe. Fire here is now at 33,000 acres and not even one bit contained. Brother inlaw had to evaluate his house and took all his live stock. Now it's a waiting game to see what happens. Wind are going to shift tonight so that's a good thing for him and the fire, it will blow back onto the area already burned.

carpoor 09-07-2017 03:52 PM

With the impending hurricane... I am reminded that this kind of thing brings out the worst in people. I really hate dealing with the general public.

Aint that the truth. I'm getting back to my old ways of just staying home. Always something to do here.
