I got the trunk jammed in and under the deck lid painted today. I'll wait until I re-mount the deck lid to take a couple pictures. I want to spray some speckle paint in the trunk too. That way I don't have to open it again until I wire the car. One more piece of the puzzle.... :D

I finally got something to post. I got my wheels cleaned up and put on.

Here's how I got the wheels. A set of four for $120.

Cleaned and polished.

New tires and on the car. Oh yeah, ...I remember this car! :D

I'm gonna end up taking a half or a whole coil out of the front springs, though. I ordered stock small block springs not even thinking that the whole top half of the engine is aluminum.

what did you use to get those wheels so clean and nice looking?

earthquake68 12-18-2012 02:19 PM

I wet sanded them with 400 grit sandpaper to get all the rough machining lines and pits out of them, then used Mother's mag and aluminum polish on them. They aren't perfect, but they sure look good for a $130 set of wheels.

Those wheels turned out great ,how long did it take you per wheel ?

earthquake68 12-19-2012 07:15 AM

It took a couple hours for each wheel.
