wow those brakes are pretty! one day once my chevelle is up and running i will do all those things! BTW i love those wheels what size are they and what are they? mine look nothing like that

The rear wheels are 15x10 (5.5" backspacing) SS replicas from Specialty Wheel with 295/50-15 MT rear tire and 15x7 fronts (245/60-15). I don't like way the trim ring looks on a 15" compared to the 14" but after a few months I don't think I'll even notice the difference any more.

o i am no where near ready for a set of wheels for the chevelle. i need to get my motor and trans in and ready first. once its in and i can start it up THEN and only then will i worry about the looks of the car. after getting off the phone with the trans shop looks like i am going to have a nice size bill :(

Not necessarily Chevelle related but the Chevelle is the main reason for this purchase so here is my latest gadget. Can't wait to use it to get some HD live action of the car!

Good news for you and the economy. My spending spree has no end in sight it seems. I went ahead and ordered new rotors tonight. It'll be a few weeks before everything is apart but I know these Auto Zone replacements currently on the car only have 2-300 miles on them. I am also replacing my rubber hoses with braided so if you want those they are nearly new and were both replaced with the calipers a few months ago. I'll let you know when you can pick everything up. Since the spindles are being replaced (and thus the reason for all new parts as all the old has to come off anyway) I will probably see if the shop can just leave everything mounted to the spindles and you can pick up two large, assembled, damn-near new sub-assemblies with everything you need. Ordered new SSBC Big Bite Cross Drilled rotors to replace the factory blanks. I know all about the debate regarding cross-drilled rotors being more prone to cracking and having less surface area resulting in the potential decreased braking performance but this is what I decided to try. http://static.summitracing.com/globa...3005aa3l_m.jpg Also ordering new Bilstein HPS 1000 shocks for all 4 corners. I did a good bit of reading prior to making this decision and was torn between the Edlebrock IAS and these. Some say the Bilstein's have a firm ride others say they are excellent. Had Monroe Sensa-tracs on the car and they did okay I guess but with everything else I decided to ditch the $25 shocks in favor of a supposedly better performing shock.
