Im going to miss you guys and gals .I will be off the net for 17 days during our travels. Yall try and make Grandsport behave while Im gone .:p

We leave out again in just a few more minutes ,having fun. We wish you were all here with us .So far the top has been down all the way except for that brief storm in Tennessee. See you all on here soon ,maybe if we find another computer.

We changed carburators in the parking lot last night as the milega went to hell.We are leaving Rock Springs Wyoming in a few minutes. And yes we are drawing a lot of stares and thumbs up. We are even going to be in a newspaper article somewhere in Nebraska.We are having a blast.The scenery is undescribable.Wish you all were here.

We are in Blackfoot Idaho tonight ,leaving again early AM. We went thru some more very scenic areas today.The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone were awsome with the exception of road construction. Will check in again when we can.

Ray ,I will try to call you tommorrow .Its very hard to hear a phone ring at 80 MPH with the top down. I forgot to say we all got our wings clipped early this morning by a Wyoming trooper .Flying too low for conditions is what I will call it.

We are at the host motel this morning just checking in with you guys. This has been the best trip we have ever made. The scenery is unreal. The mountains the weather everything has been perfect.

Very cool and I'm very jelous.

It was nice to meet Ray,Stalking Bear as well as others from the websites. Please disregard the dirty car you just saw. it still has tar and dirt from all our wonderful travels. It will need a very very good cleaning once we get back from Ohio. What a great show this is and what a great bunch of people. We have hundreds of pictures we will have to get them to somebody somehow.

We just arrived in Modesto ,California a short while ago. Boy is it hot here compared to Oregon. We had to cheat and put the top up and the A/C on after lunch. We will head out again in the morning .

It has finally cooled down enough here to walk outside and not get hit in the face with extremely hot air . We are going to drop the top in the morning and see how long we can stand the heat. We are going up across the mountain toward old RT66 so maybe it will be somewhat cooler. There are some pics posted on a thred on TC if anyone is interested in seeing them. My wife and I have taken over 1000 photos so far and many more will come.

We are in OKC this is the lasty night of the trip. Leaving first thing in the a.m. heading home. About a 12-14 hour drive to Nashville then home to Georgia. What a trip this has been!!! Will try to give you more info. as I can.

It has been great to hear of your travels. I think what makes it so neat is the fact that you enjoy and drive your car. I can't wait to see some more of the pics. By the way I did not mind the car with the road dirt on it, I actually like that, it looks great.

Im back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You all thought you were rid of me didnt you ? We got home at 10 PM last night after driving from Oklahoma starting at 6 AM OKC time. Boy am I ever saddle sore ,but what a great trip. We were making great time until we got to Manchester Tenn . There was a bad accident that completely shut down I -24 south for over an hour and we were running low on gas at the time. Our own little house and bed never looked so good as it did last night. I sure did miss you guys and gals ,its good to be back.

Thanks guys ,its good to be back . It was an amazing trip across the country and back. Im sure my credit card company will love me until the end of the month. The folks in Oregon were wonderful to meet in person and spend time with ,a great bunch of guys and gals. Its hard to tell you how much fun we had doing this trip in a Chevelle. We were going through our mail last night and a copy of a newspaper about our travels from a small town out west with our cars on the front page was very nice. I guess they were not used to seeing a group of old cars driving across the country .

Glad you made it back safely. Sounds like you had a wonderful trip.

We have been thinking about this trip of a lifetime we took a few years back and now that ACES Chevelle Club is gone we wonder if we will ever get to go on another trip like it with Chuck and our other traveling buddies ,I sure hope we do .

Not quite the same, but have you ever done "Cruising the Coast"? A few of us Floridians are interested in making the trip.

I can't imagine the long drive you made. I did the long haul on the Power Tour in 2010. Orlando to Iowa and back in 9 days. It was hell, I'll never do it again.
