Grandsports' view of the Ohio Show

Well, this was the first major show that I have attended and it was great putting the faces together with the names from both sites. It was a very relaxing weekend for me with perfect weather and lots of great cars and all the talking I did didn't make me a dime.:p I stayed out of trouble,of course I didn't go looking for it.;) My thanks to the Grumpys and the Flashes, for making this a special 2 days!:)

Ms Grumpy 08-07-2010 11:18 PM

A part of who we are, is the people that we surround ourselves with.

I consider myself a very lucky lady because this weekend I was able to surround myself with people who are some of the most special people anyone would ever want to meet.

John and Joan, what can I say...These two just ooze southern hospitality. The moment you meet them, they make you feel like a part of their family. I don't think that anyone does not know, or love these two. After a 6600 mile trek across many states, they pulled in with a smile on their face and were more than willing to do anything that the Ohio Chevelle Club needed them to do. I am blessed to have met you and to consider both of you my friends.

Gary, to think that we might not have had the opportunity to meet, I don't want to think about it. I am so glad that we had the opportunity to sit and talk about your wonderful wife and to see the light in your eyes when you talk about your daughter, just confirmed what I knew all along, you are a special man. We are so fortunate to have you be a part of our family.

This has been a wonderful experience, and I don't want it to end. But, we all have to get back to our daily lives. And I will always remember what a wonderful time I had this weekend.

Thank you..

PS. Just got a text from my brother Eric (Rick), he and the car have made it home safe and sound. David and I will be heading out tomorrow morning.

I don't wear work clothes all the time.:p

Ms Grumpy 08-08-2010 06:43 PM

Bill, you missed him the day before. He had the plaid leisure suit on.

And on Saturday he was wearing a Polo shirt.

We made sure we had a barber waiting when he got there. Took care of that before anyone saw him.

We volunteer to help as they have always made us feel like family, now yall are part of the family. My only regret was not getting to spend more time with you. We love you guys.

grumpy 08-09-2010 09:27 AM

grandsport 08-09-2010 09:50 AM

Like I said before,I was dissappointed to get home.

Ms Grumpy 08-09-2010 10:23 AM

It is always disappointing to get home after such a wonderful time. But I am so glad that I have the memories. At least for a little while.

grandsport 08-09-2010 10:43 AM

I don't know how we managed it,

That is unbelievable !

Derek69SS 08-09-2010 04:55 PM

It was nice meeting all of you, I just wish I had more time to chat... kids kept me busy all weekend. :)

Ms Grumpy 08-09-2010 09:51 PM

That is totally understandable Derek.

flash 08-09-2010 10:08 PM

I just got the car unpacked and back in her parking spot . She needs a good cleaning again ,maybe this weekend .No more long trips for about 6 weeks ,but then we go to Mississippi for Cruisin the Coast for a whole week. Its a tough life but Im willing to be the one to do it .

grandsport 08-09-2010 10:13 PM

You should run for office John. You love to travel, you can get money off of people, and you really don't work all that much.:p

grandsport 08-10-2010 06:15 PM

You definately have the driving part down.

grandsport 08-10-2010 08:12 PM

And you can get people to give you money!

flash 08-11-2010 08:39 AM

I do like to travel but I dont like to lie to people so no public office for me. I would be glad to road test all Chevelleforum members cars just to make sure they are safe for you to drive.

Aren't you brave! The only person who has ever driven my car beside me was my daughters fiancee. The look on his face was priceless when I threw him the keys.:)

flash 08-11-2010 11:16 AM

Gary, I think I need to take him (black chevelle) for a ride to make sure it is safe .Maybe when you bring it to Chevellabration next year ? You are coming next year arent you? If you liked Ohio you will love CB11.

grandsport 08-11-2010 11:23 AM

Next year is too far away to think about, but you never know.....

grumpy 08-11-2010 01:11 PM

I cannot wait for next year. Anyone know next years dates ?

Ms Grumpy 08-11-2010 07:19 PM

Hopefully next year will fall about the same time. Cause now we are getting ready for the Woodward Dream Cruise week. Hey flash, you should just hop in the car and come up here, as far as miles, it is just a few compared to what you just drove.
