Who was the nutjob that told me to buy a black car?

Oops,it was the little voices inside my head almost 3 years ago.:o I knew this would happen,I'm much too anal and fussy to own a black car.If I find one hairline scratch in it,I flip out and won't be happy till it's gone. Of course maybe I shouldn't walk around it with my eyes about 2 inches away and looking from every angle or is it angel? But sitting here on the front porch watching the sunset on it is a beautiful sight and would never change it.

You guys know me,I got to complain about something.:p
Glad I listened to those voices.:)

Ms Grumpy 08-11-2010 07:16 PM

I think that voice got into Grumpy's head even before we painted my car. He is anal about everything.

I think that you got a little of that last weekend.

Hank70SS 08-11-2010 08:19 PM

Gary, if you weren't so anal what would we talk about? :p I've had 2 black Z71 pickups, my wife had a black TrailBlazer and now a black Malibu. Black cars are a lot of work but they sure look good when done right.

Ms Grumpy 08-11-2010 08:30 PM

I have a lot to learn. Oh man..

grandsport 08-11-2010 08:42 PM

I've only had 2 other black cars my entire life. 1st was a 75 Monza that I bought for Maureen when we were dating:) and the other was a triple black 94 Corvette that I ordered new.(yes, the good old days). That Corvette ruined my summer, the paint was for crap.

Highway Star 08-11-2010 09:02 PM

Wow Gary, seeing the words "corvette" and "summer" used so closely in that post reminded me of that movie...corvette summer.

Who remembers that? :D

grandsport 08-11-2010 09:08 PM

Not me.Never heard of it.:)

flash 08-11-2010 09:12 PM

No more black cars for me ,Im not that good at detailing anymore.

Maybe if you stayed home more?:p

Hank70SS 08-11-2010 09:16 PM

Oh, forgot the 73 black Corvette we had, that was a long time ago.

Highway Star 08-11-2010 09:19 PM

I've had 2 black cars...

1. '94 Lumina Eurosport coupe w/ red trim.
2. '98 Grand Prix GT sedan

I put the clay on both of those cars, and after a wax, looked soaking wet.

I like black cars, but they get too hot inside.

Ms Grumpy 08-11-2010 09:23 PM

Now when I was deciding on colors, why didn't any of these "issues" come up?

Ok John, this is really bothering me, fix your signature.

Really, [I
[John] [/I], just doesn't work. :p

grandsport 08-11-2010 10:11 PM

x2!!!

It is an easy fix...

flash 08-11-2010 10:35 PM

I have tried to fix it and made it worse ,can someone who knows computers better fix it for me?

Derek69SS 08-11-2010 10:44 PM

I love black cars, especially those owned by someone else.

Highway Star 08-11-2010 10:50 PM

I can't do it for you, but I'll try to help.

What it looks like now...(after the waving smiley)
[I
[JOHN][/I]

I think you're trying to get it to look like this...

JOHN

There are a few ways to change it...

1. Delete the [ and ] around your name, and add one ] immediately after the first I

2. erase all the coding and leave it as plain old caps

3. erase everything, type JOHN, then highlight, and select the I from the toolbar again.

The codes for Italics are made with the letter I and the open and closed brackets. [ is the open bracket, and ] is the closed bracket.

To tell the computer to start writing in italics, you type the open bracket sign, then capital letter I, then the close bracket. It looks like this but with no spaces in it...i had to put spaces in there or else i'd be making the command (which doesn't show up in your sig if done right)
[ I ]

Then, type what you want italicized.

Then, close the italics command with this code...
open bracket, then forward slash, then capital I, then close bracket.

[/I]

it looks just like that.

I think its a virus or disease we get as car people.:D

shadowgray396 08-11-2010 11:48 PM

I'm finding out just how well my car collects dust. It may not be black all over, but everything shows up on it. Black cars look so nice when they are clean.

I thought that 'vette was one of the coolest cars I had ever seen when I was a kid.

Ms Grumpy 08-12-2010 06:01 PM

flash,
here is what you have..

[I
[JOHN][/I]

here is what it should look like...

JOHN

just add the symbol "]" after the 1st "I" and take out the "[" and "]" around your name. I did this after I copied your signature.

grandsport 08-12-2010 06:03 PM

I think the screwed up one fits him better.:)
