Kubota would be my first choice. Of course it depends on your needs but size and attachments are a Kubota plus. Personally I would shy away from a skid-steer though.

I went Friday evening and looked at 2 Kubota tractors , I will probably come home with 1 next week.

flash 09-06-2010 06:07 PM

flash 09-07-2010 09:35 PM

No,but when you are ready for a watercraft I can hook you up! Becareful riding that tractor. Remember when Seinfelds girl friend caught a disease from a tractor seat?:p

Rank 09-07-2010 09:54 PM

Welp it wasnt exactly a disease .... more of an "incident"! ! LOL

I hope my tractor is sitting in my driveway tomorrow when I get home .I cant wait to go play with it ,drag some trees out of the woods so I can cut it into fire wood . Scrape the driveway .push some brush out of my yard . Its like the night before Christmas ,cant wait to open my gift.

grandsport 09-08-2010 08:37 PM

he or she?:p

flash 09-08-2010 08:53 PM

Havent decided yet.

flash 09-09-2010 08:59 PM

Got home from work today and my new tractor was sitting there waiting to be played with . I mean worked with .Put about 2 hours on it getting some trees ready for firewood.

grandsport 09-09-2010 09:05 PM

Did ya wax it yet? And don't throw away the build sheet.

flash 09-10-2010 07:12 AM

I got it dirty and gave him his first scratch on the bucket but no wax yet.

flash 09-16-2010 08:57 AM

Been playing with the tractor ,cutting and splitting firewood .Boy ,I dont know how I ever done with out it.

Rank 09-16-2010 09:31 AM

So what model you end with and what attachments? They actually do make a log splitter for those babies you know? LOL Ram works off of tractors pump.

flash 09-16-2010 11:40 AM

I bought a Kubota L3700 with a front loader and scrape blade for my driveway . It is 4 wheel drive which makes it easy to get to the dead trees deep in the woods .I have never used a mechanical wood splitter ,but I can split wood with a maul pretty fast . I will eventually buy a set of forks and a bush-hog when it comes time to maintain my pastures myself.
