Who has long hair here?

I know shaved heads are very popular right now but that ain't me. I always got a trim every 3 weeks, but it's been 2 months now and I'm kinda likin' this longer hair. I would really like to hold out for a year or so. Anyone got longer hair here?

Only in the 70's did I have long hair. Now I keep it short, about 2" max. Hides all the gray that way.

Really, my gray seems to show more after a haircut.

I've been growing a beard for the first time in 20 years, boy is it coming in gray. My hair has some gray, but not like the beard. Maybe I'm just color blind.

grandsport 12-06-2010 08:35 PM

I love gray hair. I am finally getting some!Another 2 years of O'bummer and I should be white.

I have some gray on the sides and a little on top, not much. Beard, oh yea, that's mostly gray.

I went through high school with the popular mullet look in the 80's. I like to keep it short and spiked up now. I'll be 41 in a couple weeks and have no gray hair yet, but I'm blonde and the wife highlights it even more blonde. LOL

I've been a "long hair" since the early 70's. I've had 1 real haircut in the last 40 some years. I was going to get a "real" job in the early eighties. Did'nt work out. I just can't work for anyone else. I have a full beard too. Most of the beard is gray, the hair still has a little black left.

No long hair for me ,its too much work.

Haircuts and shaving are a PIA ... I try to do both as little as possible

Since I've been working from home I've gotten a little lax in the shaving department. Every two or three days on average. Of course then it just takes longer to shave with an electric shaver after letting it grow for a couple of days.

Highway Star 12-07-2010 11:10 AM

My hair is almost as long as it has ever been. I wonder why, but the wife likes it, so I'm keeping it. I usually wear a short buzz.

Since facial hair has been discussed, I have a soul patch and handlebars down onto my chin, and shave it in every other day.

RBeckman 12-07-2010 07:26 PM

Hair...what's that? I cut my own hair with a number #1 on the razor. I started to grow beard and it's coming in all gray. In High school my hair was past my shoulders...what I would give to get that back.

grandsport 12-07-2010 07:31 PM

Years ago the wife used to give me a buzz cut out in the garage.Honestly,I'll probably get sick of it and go back to spiking it.

flash 12-07-2010 07:43 PM

Gary ,just wait until the Ohio Show and we will find a volunteer to cut your hair for free ,right after they finish their SWEET TEA.

Derek69SS 12-11-2010 02:29 PM

Hell, I'm getting gray and losing hair already, and I'm only 28. :o I blame the kids. :D

I keep it long enough to cover the receding hair line, about 1" on top, and 1/2" on the sides, and it gets pretty shaggy between cuts.

grandsport 12-11-2010 09:04 PM

Had to wash power steering fluid out of it tonight.:)

chevguy65 12-11-2010 09:06 PM

I keep it short now days but in high school and up until I went into the navy I could wrap my hair around the belt loops in my pants.

If I had any pics I would show you.
The pic of me in front of my 64 my hair was almost that long but it is hard to tell because the pic was old and cracked.

I am old, cracked, bent and broken but I can still hang with the big dogs.
It just takes me several weeks to recover when it used to only be several hours.;)

Ms Grumpy 12-20-2010 07:51 PM

You should have seen grumpy when I met him. I used to describe him as a "biker", he looked like he just stepped off of a Harley. His hair was past his shoulders. Now he keeps it a little shorter.

Now me, it is shorter than it has ever been before, but I am a woman.

As far as the grey, grumpy is catching up to me, but I can color my hair. lol

chevguy65 12-20-2010 08:11 PM

LOL...my brother has to color his hair.
And everyone I know is losing their hair, but I still have a great head of hair with very few grays.
I owe it all to clean living (yeah right) and giving it 600 strokes a night. :)
