Proud Newbie

Hello,I am Chantel and I am a 32 year proud owner of 2 Chevelles.I have a 1966 Chevelle SS with the 396 with a 4 speed and a 1971 Chevelle SS with the LS5 454.Diehard Chevy fan and this will never change.Plus I have a nickname from my 3 children's friends,"the car lady".I am lucky to have a 100% supportive husband,Robby of 6 years and sees my car hobby makes me happy.I consider my Chevelles including my other cars in my collection as my babies. One scratch or hand print,I get mouthy and yes I am a redhead.

Welcome chantel !

You and I have a few things in common. Our love for our cars, I have a 1972 Chevelle Malibu and my husband has a 1972 Jeep Commando. My husband is also behind everything I want to do with my car, as well as my 6 kids.

I am glad that you came over and checked out our site. I look forward to seeing many pics of your cars.

Just curious, where are you located ?

chantel 03-13-2011 08:12 PM

I am from Michigan.I have two sons and one daughter. My sons are 11 year old Gabe and 9 year old Karl.My daughter's name is Victoria and she is 8 years old.I make great money buying cars.I a model since I was 18,am a paralegal until Friday due to a career change.A lawyer going into divorce,Child custody and support issues and private investigator.

I am located in Michigan also. If you are familiar with the area, I am in the Royal Oak area, only a few miles from Woodward. We also have a fair amount of members who are in Michigan also.

Currently we have 3 kids left at home, Lauren 13, Jacob 12 and Leah who will be 10. I have 3 older ones who are out on their own, Jen 27, Matthew 23 and Lacie 22.

I don't know if you have read anything about our site, but my husband and I started this site because, as a woman, I was being ignored on some of the other sites when I would ask a question. So, we decided to start Chevelleforum.net to have a place where everyone would feel comfortable.

We have a great group of people here. Last year I had the opportunity to meet many of them and feel fortunate to call them my friends.

Here is a little back round on who we are.

I do have 5 Monte Carlos,6 Camaros,a Nova and Impala,a couple Chevy street rods,a mint 1985 Chevy fullsize 4x4 truck,a 1955 210 and a 1956 210 in my car collection.I do have one Ford and has a twist to it: Ford tough with Chevy stuff. It is a 1984 Mustang I had a 350 Chevy dropped in and so far I had a couple dirty looks at me.Two of my Camaros are the 5th generation Camaros,a 2010 and a 2011.

I love em all cept the ferd. although the Chevy small block is a nice touch! :D Are the 5th gen Camaros special edtion cars?
:worthless: :D Just thought I'd throw that in there.

chantel 03-15-2011 05:20 AM

The 5th generation Camaros are no special edition cars.Bought the 2011 back in January, the 6.2 V8 with a 6 speed manual. My 2010 has been hopped up,a Magnusan supercharger, headers and exhuast, upgraded suspension.Next upgrades are the shifter and brakes.Still has the stock brakes. The 2011 goes under after I break it in,an Edelbrock E Force supercharger installed.
