Welcome, what your plans for the car? Looks like it's a solid car, but needs some work.
Thought I would see what the vin says about it.

Looks like your vin tag reads 1D37F2L583257

1 - Chevrolet
D - Malibu
37 sport coupe
F - 307cid V8 2-bbl (L14)
2- 1972
L Van Nuys California
Last numbers Production and sequence numbers

Thanks for your response...
what my problem is the engine, a 454 from a 81 pick-up by 240 horses if I do not error while a 454 chevelle actually 450 ... I wish I had a little more power

shadowgray396 04-03-2011 11:23 AM

LS 6 454 had 450 hp and and a LS5 had 360 hp in Chevelles in 1970, but in 72 the only 454 engine available was an LS5 and was tune down to 270hp. But even though the motor is out of an 81, is it rebuilt?. If so you may have more HP then you think. Any plans for paint and interior?

Ray

I do not know if the engine was rebuilt. but we already see the Edelbrock intake pipe ... do you think this Chevelle is a good case and someone knows it "Harwell Motors" Is this a good garage?

PSYCHO6 04-03-2011 12:33 PM

Any plans for paint and interior? I don't understand the question,
sorry i don't understand english very well...
but i have a pic of the tag trim:

Hello PSYCHO6, Welcome to the site.

Car looks nice. I like the red with white interior. Love the pictures.

The question from Ray was do you plan to repaint the car ? Do you plan to do anything to the interior.

PSYCHO6 04-03-2011 04:50 PM

Yes i want to repaint this car but i need to save money before a complete restoration...

1970Turtle 04-03-2011 05:29 PM

Looks like the paint might look a lot better with a good buffing with some medium then fine cut compound. Welcome to the site, car looks good overall! I agree with Ms Grumpy, love the white interior with red paint.

but i have some questions about engine... the number i've found behind alternator: -T0620CWD
-13Z481649

with a performer 2.0 edelbrock pipe and holley 850 cfm

what did you think about this? how can i had much more power with this block...

Ms Grumpy 07-29-2011 10:21 AM

That is a beautiful car. I am so glad it made it to you safely.

shadowgray396 07-29-2011 12:18 PM

Very nice looking car. You should be proud.

Hank70SS 07-29-2011 08:56 PM

Congratulations, nice car. I like the white interior. T0620, Tonawanda, New York engine plant, June 20th build date The engine code, CWD, indicates a 73 or 74 454 from a Chevelle or Monte Carlo. Not sure about the rest, it's the partial VIN number. 1 indicates Chevrolet, 3 I believe is 1973.

PSYCHO6 07-29-2011 11:38 PM

Hello everybody, i've some little problems on my chevelle..
first i have a column shifter and i can only start on "R" postion, every other position i can't start and the back up lights where always lighting (sorry for my english) needs to change all my steering column?

Hank70SS 08-01-2011 07:04 AM

The part of the column that rotates with the gear shift has the switch for backup lights. I have a stick car so I'm not sure but I think the neutral safety switch is in there too. May just need adjusting.
