New Paint On The Vert

The vert comes home from the body shop today and Joan is actually taking off a little early to go get it. I cheated as I already got to see it because of taking truck parts up there. There were so many rock chips everywhere they repainted the whole car and it looks great. It looks new again ,I cant wait for Joan to get her baby back. Hopefully the truck will be done for a nice Christmas gift for me.:):)

You will bring it home with the top down of course.

No doubt the top will be down.

My bodyshop knows me well ,had the vert all cleaned up and the top down .We chatted for a good while about the expectations of my truck and BS'ed a bunch about things in general. Then to my surprise Joan said she wanted me to drive the vert home so that she could enjoy the view from following me going down the road. If my truck turns half as nice as the vert I will be pleased ,and I know it will .

Here's a pic of the 72 at the body shop. Looks like Flash is ready for a road trip. I'll let him explain.

That is our new cheap tag-a-long Hotel .

Not really ,but it is cool. One of the guys at the body shop restored this old camper and wanted to get a pic like the vert is towing it. He said he was going to post it on a camper site saying he bet he has a nicer tow rig than most .

I remember when we were younger, it was the station wagon pulling the trailer.

flash 04-14-2011 01:58 PM

When I was young we were so poor we slept on the ground with just a sleeping bag near the camp fire .Ive never slept inside a camper ,but we did finally get a couple of small tents .Now my old bones cant stand to sleep on the ground.

Ms Grumpy 04-15-2011 12:45 PM

We may have pulled a camper, but my step-dad was an a%$ and made us bring a tent to sleep in. Him and my mom slept in a camper that slept 8.
