The wife wants a toy now.

Don't know if I should be glad or upset. She either wants a red 70 Corvette conv. like we had when we were dating or an older SL.No wonder I drink.

Ms Grumpy 04-12-2011 09:07 PM

That is cool. But, did you tell her she has to work on it ?

Rank 04-12-2011 09:51 PM

Consider a poodle ... they come in "toy" size!

flash 04-13-2011 06:27 AM

She deserves her toys too ,just ask Joan. Joan has more classic cars than I do but I get to drive them more so its all fun.

Hank70SS 04-13-2011 06:28 AM

As long as she doesn't want a new "boy toy" it's okay.

RBeckman 04-13-2011 05:43 PM

Leslie would only have to ask me once. I'm trying to talk her into a new Ford Mustang convertible and it would be red...her favorite color.

David's considering getting rid of his Jeep and looking for an older Chevelle or an El Camino. I wouldn't object to either.

She likes ElCaminos too.I would be cool with one of those. I got to dig up our wedding photo of us with her wedding present from me that I brought to our reception.A new '79 SS .

Are you going to let her get what SHE wants, or are you going to get what YOU want, that she will drive. That is always the dilemma when a woman says she wants a car, at least from what I know. Good Luck !! I can't wait to hear what she is going to get.

shadowgray396 04-15-2011 07:25 PM

Yes we are all wanting to know what you get her.

grandsport 04-15-2011 08:39 PM

As most of you know, the hunt is part of the fun.Carlisle in 2 weeks though.:)

Ms Grumpy 04-15-2011 10:36 PM

So are you looking for something that needs a little TLC or something that is a project ?

Bowtie-Bri 04-16-2011 05:17 PM

Take her to a Chevy dealer and try out a 2010-11 Camaro! Those are some nice machines right there. Good mpg to!

I think she is Overdue...especially if she is still around after all those purchases. :)

flash 04-21-2011 08:13 PM

Just go buy yourself something else you want and tell her you bought it for her .It may backfire as it did in my case .I bought her an 81 Trans Am at a deal that I thought I could invest a couple of bucks in and flip later for a major profit and she is quick to tell me HELL NO youre not selling it ,its MINE. Still got it too and its next for some TLC .

My wife has been going to the car shows with me and is now wanting something as well. She's really liking the 49 chevy pickups.

grandsport 04-22-2011 06:53 PM

Change of plans last night.Maureen has been thinking this over and now it's either a '55 Pontiac or a '77 CanAm. Go figure.
