bought me another toy

I bought myself another toy yesterday and it needs engine work,a 1997 Mustang with a bad engine called rod through the block.I plan on having an LS1 put in place of the 4.6 which it has.I wanted to do this to another Ford.Luckily one of father's good friends,Lenny has done a couple and the car goes to him tommorrow.Already bought an used LS1 out of a 2000 Camaro with the transmission and it will be pulled out tommorrow with no cutting.I already have a 1984 Mustang with a 350 in it,have ticked off a few Ford fanatics.I tell them Ford tough with Chevy stuff and this is one way of making a Ford faster, drop in a Chevy.

I like you're thinking, 'Built Ford Tough with Chevy Stuff'. Can never have too many toys.

I don't have time taking pictures and have really bad luck with these new cameras. The 1997 Mustang is green with an automatic.Told my father this and agrees with me.I admit I do have a couple friends that are Ford fanatics and said I ruined a Ford,my 1984 mustang.Going to tell them I am going to have an LS1 installed in this 1997 mustang.

LS1 thtas Crazyness! Sounds great I see a lot of Chevy motors in Mustangs here in my part of the country

chantel 04-27-2011 03:20 PM

I paid $2,500.00 for the used LS1 and the 4L60E transmission still bolted together. The LS1 has been upgraded already, seen the car it came out of on the spot and heard it run.Ran good with no noises, quiet.I was thinking crate engine,I wanted a LS1 instead.I am a diehard Chevy fanatic and there is a reason why.I was brought home in a Chevy from the hospital after I was born and my father knew I was going to be this way.He was right and never chewed me out.

grandsport 04-27-2011 04:01 PM

I came home from the hospltal on a bus. I've been told it was not a full size one.:p

chantel 04-27-2011 09:09 PM

Came home from the hospital in a 1977 Chevy Caprice. The guy doing it,already has the old drive train out and I made money off the old engine and transmission.A guy bought the blown up 4.6 for parts.Another guy bought the transmission for what it goes for used.I seen the LS1 with the transmission came in,had it mached up building engine mounts. Then one of employees saw that LS1 mached in and could not believe the look on his face.Said get that Chevy junk out and put in Ford.I looked at him and said this Ford will run better with Chevy stuff. My den is full of Chevy stuff.Yes,I do have a couple anti Ford decals on my 2008 suburban,Calvin urinating on the Ford emblem and the bite me Ford boy one.

I have been busy,I don't touch these new cameras.Got it in the car today and looks good.Doing the wiring next and adding an extension to the throttle cable and cruise control cable.

If you can handle wiring then a point and shoot digi camera should be a piece of cake for you.
