Hank..How are you doing?
How's the "Flying Hankster" feeling today? I hope you are feeling better.
|
Me too ! Especially with this being a big cruise weekend.
|
I haven't seen him in awhile...stopped by Monday but he wasn't home.
What ? ...has he been sick. |
He took a fall from a ledder. Broke his pelvis.
PS>>>Your stinking phone is broken again. |
So much for him doing his Elvis impressions anymore. I'll have to stop by again and see how he's doing.
|
I talked to Hank yesterday. He took quite a fall. He's currently in PT. I hope it speeds up the healing process. What a way to end the summer. :(
It could of been alot worse. I was glad to hear he'll be ok.Bowtie smiley |

Not this time, I have other plans. I plan on going to Frankenmuth.

He's still in the hospital. He told me he might be there for 2 more weeks. |

If someone could PM me with the hospital he is in, and his room number, I would greatly appreciate it.

Okay guys, Lynda brought the laptop in and we're in business. I'm in therapy/rehab, happens to be in the same hospital. Just had to move from the 4th floor to third I did a bad thing, in the attached pic I drew some red lines to show the fractures. Two on the bottom, one on the top. Not sure how the the top one runs but basically with the fractures like I drew, there is nothing holding the right and left sides together. No surgery, just hope it all comes together. Guess i drew it wrong, the fractures are on the left side. No weight on the left leg at all, don't want the two halves separating.
It's amazing how painful it is. I've had quite a few kidney stones. Only thing that makes a kidney stone worse is it doesn't stop. The fractured pelvis will 'ease' up some if you can find the right position. Anyway, they gave me some pain meds awhile ago. Took me about an hour to type this, I have no idea if it makes any sense. |
Yeah, it makes sense. That sounds like a real painful deal.
If you think you can do it, I'll bring the Nomad down and throw you in the back and haul you up tp Frankenmuth. I promise it will be a fun ride! Keep us up to date. Hope you get to feeling a lot better soon. |

Sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you heal soon.

It's good to see you on line Hank!
Being on line sure beats the crap that's on the tube during the day. I'm sure with the PT and meds, you probably spend alot of time sleeping. Take care my friend. ;) |

I got a get well card from my great aunt, the one that turned 99 back in June. She wrote on the inside "you fall down and go Boom?" She's something else. |

I got there around 4:45 AM. Real nice morning. Had a good parking spot rite on the main drag. I carried some boxs of t-shirts for the organizers. My buddy from A&A Machine shop brought his trailer with the race car, 3 engines on stands, the radiaror system for running an engine, canopy, chairs, tables, 6 sets of heads, and misc stuff. I worked up a sweat helping unload all that stuff. I cut my elbow pretty good this morning. Didn't realize it was bleeding. I had blood all over my pants, combined with the junk from unloading the trailer. I looked like a street bum. We came home at noon. Took a shower, clean clothes, and went back down.
Ric kept us updated on the weather. He has some fancy phone thing that has a live radar. It was a real nice morning and early afternoon. I got home just as the rain hit. |
I ran out of space..
Lots of nice cars. I didn't see all of them. Had a chat with Don Garlits. He likes the hemi in the hot rod. Wish you and Lynda could have been here. Clutz. Didn't hear from Ray. |
Sounds like you had a busy morning/day. Also sounds like you had fun before the rain began. Did you guys get the wind and lightening like we had in Birmingham.
|
I didn't get much lightning here, but the wind was strong. It's all cleared up now. They canceled the rest of the night for the Bricks. They said because of the weather, but after the last 3 nights of the black hood-rats and black gang-bangers being out of control, we all know it wasn't the weather. The organizers of the cruise, the down-town merchants, and the cops had an emergency meeting this morning with the Mayor to discuss the hood rat problem. I didn't hear the outcome of the meeting, but will know tomorrow. The stinkin low-lifes ruin everything they can in this town.
