Hank..How are you doing?

How's the "Flying Hankster" feeling today? I hope you are feeling better.

Ms Grumpy 08-17-2011 05:04 PM

Me too ! Especially with this being a big cruise weekend.

Ray Barnes 08-18-2011 05:56 AM

I haven't seen him in awhile...stopped by Monday but he wasn't home.

What ? ...has he been sick.

FlintTony 08-18-2011 06:01 AM

He took a fall from a ledder. Broke his pelvis.

PS>>>Your stinking phone is broken again.

Ray Barnes 08-18-2011 08:33 AM

So much for him doing his Elvis impressions anymore. I'll have to stop by again and see how he's doing.

Bowtie-Bri 08-18-2011 09:51 AM

I talked to Hank yesterday. He took quite a fall. He's currently in PT. I hope it speeds up the healing process. What a way to end the summer. :(
It could of been alot worse. I was glad to hear he'll be ok.Bowtie smiley

Is he out of the Hospital? When he called he was still in and with some heavy meds.

Ray, you coming down to Flint on Saturday?

Ray Barnes 08-18-2011 11:25 AM

Not this time, I have other plans. I plan on going to Frankenmuth.

No Ric,
He's still in the hospital. He told me he might be there for 2 more weeks.

Thanks Brian...we need to hook him up with a computer in there. When I was in last year I had my IPAD and they had wireless, it was great.

Ms Grumpy 08-18-2011 04:55 PM

If someone could PM me with the hospital he is in, and his room number, I would greatly appreciate it.

Okay guys, Lynda brought the laptop in and we're in business. I'm in therapy/rehab, happens to be in the same hospital. Just had to move from the 4th floor to third I did a bad thing, in the attached pic I drew some red lines to show the fractures. Two on the bottom, one on the top. Not sure how the the top one runs but basically with the fractures like I drew, there is nothing holding the right and left sides together. No surgery, just hope it all comes together. Guess i drew it wrong, the fractures are on the left side. No weight on the left leg at all, don't want the two halves separating.

It's amazing how painful it is. I've had quite a few kidney stones. Only thing that makes a kidney stone worse is it doesn't stop. The fractured pelvis will 'ease' up some if you can find the right position. Anyway, they gave me some pain meds awhile ago. Took me about an hour to type this, I have no idea if it makes any sense.

FlintTony 08-18-2011 07:57 PM

Yeah, it makes sense. That sounds like a real painful deal.

If you think you can do it, I'll bring the Nomad down and throw you in the back and

haul you up tp Frankenmuth. I promise it will be a fun ride!

Keep us up to date. Hope you get to feeling a lot better soon.

I'm thinking your idea of a fun ride and my idea of a fun ride are not the same thing. Thanks Tony.

You may be in pain, but I guarantee riding with Tony in the Nomad will put a smile on your face.

shadowgray396 08-18-2011 11:03 PM

Sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you heal soon.

Ray

Bowtie-Bri 08-18-2011 11:08 PM

It's good to see you on line Hank!
Being on line sure beats the crap that's on the tube during the day.
I'm sure with the PT and meds, you probably spend alot of time sleeping.
Take care my friend. ;)

Hey Nancy, I'm in Botsford Hospital, Farmington Hills, No need for a card or anything. Nice to see you all care.

I got a get well card from my great aunt, the one that turned 99 back in June. She wrote on the inside "you fall down and go Boom?" She's something else.

Well, good morning then. What's for breakfast?

Ray Barnes 08-19-2011 09:47 AM

We need to change this thread title to "Hank...how much are you going to whine today". Come on man suck it up. The pitty factor has expired....

What...did you thinking I was going to say something nice and fluffy.

You know me just messing around...hope you fell better... I mean feel better. If you or Linda need anything just let me know. Just around the corner.

Hank, you are a part of this family and I just wanted to make sure that you knew you were missed here. I am glad to hear that you are being well taken care of. Do they know how long you will be there ?

flash 08-19-2011 02:14 PM

Looks like 2 weeks at least. That may get me to the point where I can just manage to move around the house without destroying it or killing my self.

I thought you put ledders in the mail? But what does a car salesman know? Hi Hank, best wishes from Grandsport.Waving

Ms Grumpy 08-19-2011 09:57 PM

We shouldn't make him laugh. That probably hurts a lot.

It does but I'm pretty doped up, along with being dopy to begin with, so best you'll probably get is a smile. A smile is good though.

I'll let you know I'm back home Ray so you can stop by.

Tony, really nice of you to call me from Back to the Bricks. Tell me about all the nice cars, the warm sunny weather and overall nice day there. Yup, really nice of you to share Tony. :butt1:

So Hank, are you saying you don't want me to call you and tell you what a good time we were having until the rain started?

I guess you did get some of this weather up there too. Still, it was a pretty good day for the most part wasn't it?

FlintTony 08-20-2011 06:21 PM

I got there around 4:45 AM. Real nice morning. Had a good parking spot rite on the main drag. I carried some boxs of t-shirts for the organizers. My buddy from A&A Machine shop brought his trailer with the race car, 3 engines on stands, the radiaror system for running an engine, canopy, chairs, tables, 6 sets of heads, and misc stuff. I worked up a sweat helping unload all that stuff. I cut my elbow pretty good this morning. Didn't realize it was bleeding. I had blood all over my pants, combined with the junk from unloading the trailer. I looked like a street bum. We came home at noon. Took a shower, clean clothes, and went back down.
Ric kept us updated on the weather. He has some fancy phone thing that has a live radar. It was a real nice morning and early afternoon. I got home just as the rain hit.

FlintTony 08-20-2011 06:24 PM

I ran out of space..
Lots of nice cars. I didn't see all of them. Had a chat with Don Garlits. He likes the hemi in the hot rod.
Wish you and Lynda could have been here. Clutz.

Didn't hear from Ray.

Ms Grumpy 08-20-2011 07:15 PM

Sounds like you had a busy morning/day. Also sounds like you had fun before the rain began. Did you guys get the wind and lightening like we had in Birmingham.

FlintTony 08-20-2011 07:34 PM

I didn't get much lightning here, but the wind was strong. It's all cleared up now. They canceled the rest of the night for the Bricks. They said because of the weather, but after the last 3 nights of the black hood-rats and black gang-bangers being out of control, we all know it wasn't the weather. The organizers of the cruise, the down-town merchants, and the cops had an emergency meeting this morning with the Mayor to discuss the hood rat problem. I didn't hear the outcome of the meeting, but will know tomorrow. The stinkin low-lifes ruin everything they can in this town.

Sounds like you had a good day, sorry we missed it. Ray did call me yesterday, he was shopping for a new iron. His old one broke and he had some shirts to iron. If it weren't for those darn shirts I'm sure he would have gone to back to the bricks.

FlintTony 08-21-2011 04:17 PM

Shopping for an iron? If I EVER needed an iron, the local hardware sells them. 5 min shopping trip for me.
