All you ever do is complain about the heat.:p Guess I'll be the same when it is in the 40s.I would move in a heartbeat to a place that is nice and in the 90s all the time, but I don't want to live alone.

Glad to hear everyone is doing fine. And yes Gary likes it hot. So Gary have you had the Black car out these hot summer days?

It's been like a month since he was started, just no time. I got a AACA show I'm going to if the weather is nice next Sunday.I'm really looking for a first or second, then I will be happy.:)

yeah the sun started coming out and then it got dark..lol my wife and my job both closed down for tomorrow aka free day to work on my chevelle :)

I am glad to hear that everyone is doing fine. My daughter's fiance is in one of the Burrough's of New York and they are dealing with the subways which are flooding.

Gary I hope that you will be able to go to that show. And we all know that your car will do very well. I can't wait to see the trophy.

grandsport 08-28-2011 07:24 PM

Is it true this is the first time the subways have been shut down because of a storm?

smokenjoep01 08-29-2011 08:55 AM

We made it through safe here in South Eastern NC. Im about 90 mile south west of were Irene made landfall. Cover blew clean off the grill. Was able to recover it with just a minor tear. HAHA

Ms Grumpy 08-29-2011 05:29 PM

Saw my daughter today about Gino in New York. He was able to go to work today, the subways he uses were working. But there are many that are still unuseable, I am pretty sure that Staton Island was still under water. They are hoping that by tomorrow they will be working. The sad part is that at least 5 people have died in New York, and 2 of them were a friend of a friend. One of them was a volunteer firefighter who was doing his job, this is so sad.

We had tornado's all around us yesterday and didnt even know it until Chuck and Larae called from Nashville to see if we were all right. We had the CD player on and was working inside the house as it was raining cats and dogs all day .Larae asked if we were OK and I said from what and she told us the weather channel was showing tornado's all over our area. We turned on the TV and sure enough they were saying take cover one was on the ground near us. We never got any wind or thunder or anything but rain ,but there is a lot of damage nearby. This was a strange storm.

BillsCamino 09-06-2011 08:39 PM

They're saying that tornado traveled 23 miles thru Cherokee County...passed within 3 miles of my house when it crossed Hwy 92 in Woodstock.
We weren't home...returning back from TX yesterday afternoon.
Boy, that plane ride was fun. The very first flight where I've had to tightened my seatbelt.

Bill ,have you heard from Dewayne ? He lives very close to Dixie Speedway where damage was major .Hes not on TC much anymore.

BillsCamino 09-06-2011 11:32 PM

He's OK...was online tonight. He lives a little farther west of where it crossed Hwy 92. He's closer to downtown Acworth.

flash 09-07-2011 06:25 AM

Good to know and I did see him post about the green 68 so I figured he was OK.

Ms Grumpy 09-07-2011 07:25 PM

It was good to hear that everyone is OK.
