Couldn't be true cause he left it to me in his will. Right Gary.

flash 10-17-2011 07:57 PM

"Would you buy this car TODAY if the price was right??"

SS Shaun 10-18-2011 10:03 AM

wow i remember that car he is the one that lives here in pa. that is the one i asked if i can hold the car in my garage while he worked...lol

flash 10-18-2011 11:04 AM

No I would not be able to buy his car even if the price was right ,its too nice of a car for me.I think it will probably be sold fairly easy as it is very nice and the color is favorable as well. I drive my cars too much to have a nice one especially a black one ,but I do talk to people all over that are looking for special cars like Gary's. Gary, good luck with it .

Derek69SS 10-18-2011 11:43 AM

"What do I have to do to get you in THAT car?"

Is financing available?
I have a job and $99 down.
I want free oil-changes for the life of the vehicle.

:D

What will it take to get you to drive home that car today??

Ms Grumpy 10-18-2011 06:30 PM

I think that grandsport is too busy enjoying his new job this week. I talked to him late last week and he said that he was going to take his car out over the weekend. I didn't get any inside information and I feel cheated. :(

flash 10-18-2011 07:18 PM

I will gladly drive that car home today if someone else pays you for it tomorrow .

You obviously have your reasons. I'm sure you got a good price because it's an exceptional car. Hope this doesn't mean we won't be seeing you around here, no reason to leave and we would all miss you if you did.

grandsport 10-19-2011 05:03 PM

Yes,there is a reason.Every time I see a picture of a Forest green with white stripe cowl inducted 70,I sometimes regret buying the black car. That was my first choice and got tired of looking after 3 years for the right car.Maureen says just get a green one too.:p I really have a great offer on the car, but we are$7k apart and I am holding firm.

Ms Grumpy 10-19-2011 07:33 PM

WOW !!

OK..really ?..where is Gary ?

Would the real grandsport please stand up !

Derek69SS 10-19-2011 07:58 PM

I don't blame you... you want what you want, and "close enough" just isn't the same.

Forest green was the original color I was looking for before I decided to go a different direction. They look good in green.

"Ladies and gentlemen do I hear an opening bid of 100 thousand? .... one hundred thousand from the sad carless gentleman in the back ... do I hear one hundred ten ...?" LOL

Ms Grumpy 10-20-2011 10:00 AM

I am still trying to get this through my head. But I do agree with Derek, close enough just isn't the same with what you really want.

But why am I the last one to know ?? lol I just talked to you and you didn't even let it slip. I probably should have known that something was up, just the tone in your voice. I hope that you find that green 70, unless you already have and haven't told anyone.

flash 10-20-2011 11:43 AM

Go get the one you want and best of luck.

Hank70SS 10-20-2011 04:30 PM

Good luck Gary. I like black cars but the Forest Green would be nice. I like to see the 70's in something other than black and red. Seems like that's all you see.

Does this mean you'll be sticking around and we'll have to continue putting up with you? :D

Rank 10-20-2011 04:56 PM

So which is worth more a black one or a green one?? LOL .... this could get interesting!

Ms Grumpy 10-20-2011 05:53 PM

I will tell you that when we were looking at colors (grandsport don't hate me for this), grumpy told me that green was the kiss of death when you try to sell a car. We would watch the Barrett Jackson Auctions and any green car really seemed to go for a lesser price. But I think that it all depends on the color green.

All I know is that I am excited to hear about grandsports new adventure. And I look forward to going along with him for the ride.

flash 10-20-2011 09:23 PM

Green would not have been my first choice on a chevelle until I saw Erics car freshly painted and realized how few of those colors you see out and about .His car and color has changed my view of other colors and combos .Now I want a green wagon but Im not getting one ,still need to thin the current herd .

Bowtie-Bri 10-21-2011 12:18 AM

Not sure if you already have one picked out Gary. I did alittle searching. Check this one out!

That's a nice looking 70 Brian. The ad says "rebuilt with new piston". I wonder why they didn't replace all of them.

My 70 Nova is Forest Green with a black VT. I really like that color. I haven't seen very many of them that color. One of the reasons I like it so much.

I saw that one too. I agree with Nancy green cars seem to go for less. That why I didn't go with one. Black and red always seems to for more bucks.

fleming23 10-21-2011 10:12 AM

Green definitely doesn't seem to draw the $$ of a red or black car but it is all about personal preference and intent for the car. I like that I don't see my color combo very often and actually really like the color. If someone was building a car to flip I would definitely paint it one of those two colors (red/black). I don't think there are too many other cars I would want that are green except may be a 70 Camaro in the same color.

Thanks for thinking of me Brian, but judging from the few pictures in the ad that car needs a lot of work.I figure 5k under the hood alone.
