Chevelle framed artwork for office?

I am having a hard time finding framed/matted artwork for my new office at work. I have this one currently that will go on the wall but was looking for any other ideas you guys have seen or may have.

I want it to be framed but it does not necessarily have to be Chevelle related as I am a fan of cars from the 30-70s of most makes & models (with a preference toward GM).

Just looking for ideas. I guess I might have an easier time finding prints and going to the local hobby store and buying frames myself.

Just wiat til the Peachstate Show and get a framed pic of your Chevelle done by the Bus People (Transart I Think is what they go by) ,I assume they will be there again this year. They do great work. Or go online and check out Thom SanSoucie ,he does automotive art ,I have several of his prints .There was a member on T/C that was a rep for him ,he came to the Peachstate show a couple of years ago.

Not a bad idea. I'll definitely check out the folks at the Peach State show. I may get a couple of the Thom SanSoucie prints but that still leaves me framing them which becomes a little expensive for some office artwork to fill a blank space.

I framed mine myself with Walmart frames ,much cheaper than Hobby Lobby .I think my frames were around $10 each. The San Soucie prints came with the matting already ,but I got my last ones at the Northern Ohio show from the same vendor that came to Peach State show.

I like the pics that were done at the Ohio Show. Another idea for frames is to go to Salvation Army stores, garage sales, estate sales or any resale shop. You may have to clean them up a bit, but sometimes you can find beautiful frames.

The folks at Ohio were the ones to do our Christmas card photo .

Eric ,where did you get the print or poster you posted at the top ? I would like to add that to my collection one day.

Genuine Hotrod Hardware which is basically Summit Racing.

Eric ,did you find yourself any art yet ? Would you be interested in a GM black and white photo of a 68 chevelle SS (not framed) ?I was going through some stuff I had stored upstairs the other evening and I came across this photo that is 12x18 .Its yours if you want it ,just needs a matt and frame .I use poster board to make my own matts but then again Im cheap.

fleming23 01-27-2012 08:28 PM

I'll trade you some Chevelle brake parts for it. ;)
Yeah, hang on to it and I'll take it!

Eric ,you need to check out that 2nd site listed above .There is a poster that could easily be your car .

fleming23 02-07-2012 08:53 AM

Don't know how I missed those. Stupid Google! John, you are right! I am hoping this spring to get a photo similar to that one of my own car and have it enlarged and framed.

Thanks Brian! I am taking a look at all the posters now!

Here's one more link:

I've bought a few posters prints from him in the past. Very nice guy! The last one I bought is one of his latest prints called "Chevelle Diner" It's a 24x36 print of just 70 Chevelles in various colors parked around a diner. Tom doesn't have it up on his website yet. I hung it in the hallway down in my basement. I could probably take a picture of it sometime this week and post it.

Also had this one framed a while back. Good bit smaller than the green one.

Little difficult to see but it says "Fleming's Garage" on the shop sign.

I have recently gotten a few cool pictures from the Hobby Lobby. Not sure if you have one nearby to where you live. They run sales every so often, usually 50% off.

fleming23 10-05-2012 02:36 PM

Thanks, they are the ones I had frame these.

flash 10-05-2012 07:51 PM

Eric ,is that green one a custom job or did you get lucky and find it somewhere .I love them both .

fleming23 10-05-2012 10:03 PM

They were both custom... Thanks, I like them!

shadowgray396 10-07-2012 09:26 AM
