New shop

It's not ours yet, but we will close on May 22... needless to say, I'm pretty stoked about it, and just have to brag a little.

Here's my new shop... don't mind the sellers' stuff inside it.

There's even a 2nd level with a party-room in it.

It even comes with a house, or something. :D

That garage looks awesome Derek! The house is just a bonus. ;)

Ms Grumpy 04-11-2012 01:17 PM

Derek that is SWEET !!!!!

flash 04-11-2012 01:46 PM

Wow ,that is nice .Just have him leave everything in the shop including the Bronco and you will be set. It wont take you long to fill it up.

BillsCamino 04-11-2012 04:30 PM

Very cool Derek!!! Love that man cave.
Hopefully if I ever visit 'ya again I won't fall on my azz in the driveway. :butt1: :D

shadowgray396 04-11-2012 05:31 PM

Very nice, I would love to have a set up like that.

grandsport 04-11-2012 05:35 PM

Very nice! For some reason I don't think the lawn will ever look that good again.:D

RBeckman 04-11-2012 05:39 PM

Very nice, if there is a bathroom in the garage you are all set.

Or at least a tree just outside the door.

shadowgray396 04-11-2012 06:54 PM

Lots of lawn, but no shrubs? Thats low maintenance. Looks like you will need a riding lawn mower.

Derek69SS 04-11-2012 10:12 PM

4.5 acres and not one tree either... I'll be planting a lot of trees as soon as we take possession.

They offered us a pretty great deal on their lawnmower, 4 wheeler, snowblower, and some furniture & TVs too. Tomorrow is the home inspection, so afterward I'll be looking over all the swag they don't want to move to see if it's worth paying a little extra for a whole bunch of stuff we need to buy anyway.

Gman 04-12-2012 07:43 AM

Dude, that's an awesome mancave, wish I had that one. oh, and the bathroom would be a big plus, I have a couple of dead spots in the grass by my polebarn from me and the neighbor, I tell my wife it's from the dog.:D

No bathroom in the big shop, but there's a smaller garage between the house and shop that has been converted into a mother-in-law apartment, which has a full bathroom inside it.

Ms Grumpy 04-12-2012 07:29 PM

Holy crap, I think that "smaller" garage is bigger than my whole house. lol

I am so jealous ! Lots of space to have your friends over and hold your own car show. :)

Hank70SS 04-14-2012 07:30 AM

Congratulations Derek. Very nice setup, shop, extra garage and house, all look great. Definitely needs some trees but that's an easy fix, good luck man.

Derek69SS 04-26-2012 09:55 AM

Appraisal is tomorrow... I'm a little nervous that the bank is going to balk at the roofing that needs to be replaced real soon. The shop roof is the worst one, which we plan to replace with steel (if we can afford it) this summer. The house can go another 2-3 years.

69chevelless 04-26-2012 04:47 PM

How much do they ask down there for a house in MN like this one?

Derek69SS 04-26-2012 05:15 PM

We're buying it for $310k...

shadowgray396 04-26-2012 05:53 PM

That would go for at least 450K to 600k here

69chevelless 04-26-2012 09:54 PM

Your lucky, that's very very cheap.

shadowgray396 04-29-2012 08:46 AM

So Derek did you get the loan on the house and shops?

Derek69SS 04-29-2012 08:54 AM

I haven't heard back yet... we're approved for the loan, just waiting on appraisal on the property.

shadowgray396 04-29-2012 09:43 AM

Wish you luck, looks like a great place to have

SS Shaun 04-30-2012 09:15 AM

Derek69SS 05-22-2012 11:39 AM

Derek69SS 05-23-2012 11:58 AM

Spent the first night there... sure was nice sleeping in an extra 35 minutes with the new short commute to work.

We got most of the necessary household stuff moved, and the Chevelle and most of my tools as well (priorities... ;) ) The nice thing is that we have the space to just unload and sort it later so we can make good use of volunteer help of family members.

SS Shaun 05-23-2012 12:45 PM

nice man!!! congrats and i hate you and jealous :)

shadowgray396 05-24-2012 06:16 PM

Sounds like a party is in order. Congrats

Ms Grumpy 05-24-2012 09:18 PM

Can't wait to see what you do to the place.

Garyb 05-25-2012 09:24 PM

I'm thinkin the original owner put the garage behind the garage so his wife wouldn't see the projects he brought home...Smart Feller

I dont have to worry about issues like that as 1/2 the cars in my shop are my wifes and she will tell you so quickly.

I love that woman !

earthquake68 05-27-2012 11:44 AM

I am JADE GREEN with envy. That's awesome! Congrats on the new digs. That would be what I need with all these toys.

Derek69SS 05-29-2012 11:45 AM

Thanks everyone!

Some great friends from the Chevelle club came over on Saturday and helped move some things. We have just about everything moved, except one car and some parts at my brother's. The shop gets smaller every time I look in it though...
