Brighten a Young Boy's Day
 

Some of you may have seen a similar post on Team Chevelle over the years.
Cody Jones is a 20 year old boy that has had roughly 2 surgeries for every year of his life. Mentally he is about 9 years old. Officially he owns our
Convertible and we keep it for him to ride and take him to parades in. He can ride in the front seat. This is the only vehicle he has ever been able to do so because of his oxygen and the air bags in newer models. We have asked many favors over the years to pray for him while he was in the hospital to sending Christmas cards. . . he loves to get mail. Now we are asking that
he will have an opportunity to go to San Antonio to a special handicapped adventure park. He went to Dollywood a year or two ago and they would not let him ride anything due to his oxygen. They returned the money but that meant nothing to Cody he was very disappointed. If Cody can win this trip it will mean the world to him. Please go on the following website and vote for him. It is limited to one vote per computer and the deadline is 4/25 I believe so if you can spread the word we would really appreciate the help.

I would like to thank everyone who voted for Cody to try and help him win this trip but it was not meant to be .Even though he got over 1000 votes more than his competetion they awarded the prize to someone else .He was heartbroken as he was watching the votes come in constantly and then told in the end he didnt win .But again thankyou for taking your time to vote for him ,there will be a fundraiser later to try to get him there .

I don't agree with the final results but at least the nominating teacher from Pickens Co. received a gift cert to use toward specical ed supplies.

I am so sad for him. When they do the fundraiser let us know.

There was a benefit auction today for Cody and they raised a little over $3000 for his trip that he was cheated out of. I bought a very old ice cooler for my truck if it ever gets finished. The highlight of the day was when Cody asked when he was going for a ride in his car and we loaded him up and went cruising . Hopefully they can raise the rest of the funds needed to get him to the special park in Texas .
