New from Rhinelander, WI

Hi I am a new member from Rhinelander, WI and after several months of searching and finally selling our 1966 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 convertible, we purchased a 1971 Chevelle SS tribute (Malibu). It just arrived from southern Wisconsin, and now the fun begins. It does need work but hopefully not too much. We just wanted a car to take to our local shows and to drive and enjoy.Bowtie smiley I have not even rode in it yet.

Welcome kbgood. I am sure that you are going to love taking the '71 to car shows. Can't wait to see some pics. Just thought I would let you know that you can post your pics here, on your profile page, in albums. If you need any help just let me know.

Here are a couple of pictures. We bought it in Salem WI. It does need some work but not as much as our last car. We added tail pipes today which really helps, as it did not have any pipes behind the mufflers and was extremely loud. Disc brakes are next on our list of fixes, then possibly seat covers. If any one knows the car, we would appreciate any information. Thanks for the welcome. I will be checking out the forums for information!

Looks nice ,but you know we need more pics than that .I like the color and stance so give us more pics when you can. What other plans do you have in mind for it ?

Looks very nice. What size trailer do you have it on? I have been looking for one for mine

Never mind. I was thinking of a different car. Here it is anyway. http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=381266

The car is blue pearl with silver stripes, and it looks almost purple in some light, the trailer was not ours so I do not know the size.
We are just planning to have it as a weekend cruiser and take it to a occasional local show.
We are thinking about trying a power booster for the manual brakes before we change them to disc brakes any opinions? Is there a better brand than others? We may also change out the rear, we think it is a 411 but are not positive yet, the posi-traction chirps on every turn and pulls.
