Grandsports daughter and family need out prayers
 

Today, if I am correct, grandsports daughter Lindsay will be having surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in Manhattan.

I have never met Lindsay but I feel like I know her. I do know that she is the apple of her dads eye and that he is so proud of her. When Gary talks about Lindsay he just lights up.

Lindsay has had to deal with more pain than anyone should at her age and today we are all hoping a praying that the surgery helps relieve some or all of that pain.

Please join me in sending Gary and his family positive thoughts and lots of prayers for Lindsay. After her surgery Lindsay will be spending some time in the hospital and I have asked Gary to post the address and room number so that I can send her cards to make her feel better. If anyone else can I know that it will be appreciated.

One more thing, lets just keep this thread going everyday to show our support of Gary and his family.

Thanks Nancy.This is going to be a long ass day.They took her at 6:30am,the waiting continues for some news.

They just finished up a few minutes ago.She did very well and the doctors are more than pleased.Given what they found and repaired she is almost guaranteed a 50% reduction in her pain.Everyone will be cautiously optomistic about a 70-80% reduction.Thanks again for your support!

I just talked to her a little while ago!No paralysis anywhere but they are having trouble managing her pain because she has become so immune to the drugs.

Our family continues to keep your family in our prayers.

They will figure it out Gary. I know that with David's Factor 5, they have certain things that will and won't work. I have confidence that they will find a way to manage her pain. I hope you, and she, can get some rest tonight. How is your wife doing ?

Glad to hear the good news...fingers crossed for the max pain reduction

Found out today the doctors put 56 screws in her back,also learned she had 8 surgeons working on her.They still can't get the pain under control yet,I can't even imagine what that poor kid is going through.

Wow ! Poor girl. I will keep sending positive thoughts her way.

Still in our prayers ,she will pull through and be in less pain.

Continue to pray for healing and to ease the pain.

Any news today ? Hope her pain is getting better and still praying for you all.

Her pain is starting to get somewhat better.She will be moved out of intensive care tomorrow.The doctors are very happy so far.

Lindsay is back in ICU.She developed an irregular heartbeat and a blood clot in her neck.

Gary, I am so sorry to hear that Lindsay is back in the ICU. I am also sorry that I was not able to get your call earlier. This is my busiest weekend of the year. AK Fest is this weekend and I have been extremely busy. It is 1:36 in the morning and I am still not done.

Tomorrow we have registration from 3-9pm and I will be getting everyone registered, but I will call you to check on you and Lindsay. I wish only the best for your daughter, and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers until she is out of the hospital.
