Back at you, enjoy your weekend. Just spend 5 hours driving 180 miles to get home through all the traffic in Seattle. Time to drive another 100 miles and go down to the beach for the weekend.

Work, work, and work is what is on my agenda for the next three days. And after work tomorrow, going to help a friend drag a car back to his house. (Another Pontiac, I seem to get roped into working on those lately)

To everyone not working the next three days, enjoy. And above all - stay safe!

Glad you made it home safe Ray. Seems like everytime a holiday hits, people lose it, especially on the road. Have fun at the beach.

When I first glanced at your post I saw the word "drag" and immediately thought, "oh cool he is going drag racing". Sorry that, that is not the case. But look at it this way, at least you are working, I have a lot of friends who are losing everything because they cannot find a job.

Try to have some fun this weekend.

Have a great Holiday weekend everyone. I will be taking my kinds to the Royal Oak Arts Beats and Eats Festival one day. Then on to the Great Lakes State Fair in Novi. Then hoping to make it downtown Detroit to go to the Jazz Festival going on there.

The one thing I am looking forward to is tonight, REO Speedwagon is playing at the Arts Beats and Eats Festival. You can laugh at me, but I really like REO. Then tomorrow night is the Guess Who (I think).

Be safe everyone and have fun !

Hope next summer is a better one for you Gary. Last year was a bad one for me but all is well this year. Life has it's ups and downs.

BTW: Official end of summer here is Autofest in Frankenmuth, next weekend, not this weekend. Waving

Haven't been to the ocean in over a decade.

Enjoy, I don't think Fl got hit too bad. A lot of rain but not a lot of high winds. My sister lives in Fort Meyers area, she said it was no big deal.

It's been hot and sunny here, no mess to be seen. In fact we joke about what a "big" storm it was.

Hurricanes are not funny, but your post is. Thanks for the laugh

Florida is MUCH better suited for hurricanes than any other state. Why? Because they get them more often. Anything that's loose or in disrepair and not up to code gets taken out by the hurricane and is replaced with something stronger.

My parents live just outside of Orlando and their double wide has already sustained 80 mph straight line winds with gusts over 100 mph. They have more tie downs on that house than most site built homes. There would be a large hole in the world if that house ever blew away.

I'm glad everyone is doing ok this weekend. I'm spending an extended period of time with the Chevelle. Today I'm going to reassemble the radiator support and grill. Then maybe check on my daughter's '61 Bel Air and see if I can fix the wiring issue with it.

grandsport 09-03-2012 06:29 PM

If Maureen would allow,a double wide on five acres with a four garage would be perfect .But the key words are if Maureen would allow.

Got lots done at the Beach house for 3 days, great weather. Mowed the lawns at our house in town and now getting ready for 8 days of out of town work. Be home just in time to get ready for my son's wedding on the Sept 14th.
