Hi guyz. I've been collecting 65 Chevelles for many years. Now I own only one 1965 Malibu SS hardtop, SBC (heavily modified), 4-speed and a 12 bolt rear (138 car). I've owned 8-65s in my life so I should be able to give some positive advice about them. I probably will take some too. Anyway it's nice to be here. The other Chevelle site I was using was locking up on me, so here I am.

Only about 25 miles from me. Maybe it will be at our car show in July and I will get a chance to see it in person.

Welcome Frank. I am glad you are here. Sounds like you have a lot of experience with the 65 Chevelles. I can't wait to hear about all the cars you have owned and still do own. Again, welcome to the site.

Welcome to the site, I read about the flood damage done to your cars on the other site. Really sucks but hopefully you will have the hardtop ready by spring.

Nice looking 65,any more info/pics on what you did to it?Looks very subtle.

Well, since you asked. During Superstorm Sandy we got about 3' of water in our house and garage. Unfortunately both cars were garaged at the time. Both cars were flood totaled. I bought them both back from the insurance co. and got them both running and driving. I sold the vert. last week but I think I'm going to keep the hardtop to restore. Actually I'm one of the lucky ones.

I am so sorry. They both looked like great cars. It is nice that you were able to purchase them back from the insurance company. A lot of insurance companies don't let you buy them back, they send them to auctions or to be destroyed. I am so glad that you were able to save them.
